Food was very good. We didn’t know what to expect, but the reviews looked good so we stopped in. Presentation was beautiful. Server was very nice and attentive. We were there around 6pm on Saturday and it wasn’t really busy. So food came out super quick. It was starting to get busier later, though. Either way, we would recommend a visit!

In case you’re wondering, the attached photo is three tempura shrimp rolls. They were all shoved into one tiny takeout container, along with the decorative leaf that separates the ginger and wasabi, which were also crammed into the container. I had to use a spoon to eat this, because as I’d grab a piece with the chopsticks, it would fall apart and stick to all the other things happening here. Just because this was a lunch special, doesn’t mean you should care less about the preparation. I am very disappointed. You’ve done this numerous times, and I haven’t left a review until now, but I will not be eating from your restaurant again. It feels personal at this point.

Freaking love this place!! Girlfriend and I were passing through town and decided to try this place out, and I’m glad we did. The food was absolutely incredible, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet. I cannot stress this enough: it was one of the best meals we’ve shared in a while. You won’t regret it!

This place is a hidden gem. Very good place in the far west suburbs of Milwaukee (Oconomowoc). Great customer service and good. Giving it 4 stars because the teriyaki meal is ordered had sauce that was strangly thick and want great. Everything else, amazing.

This is the best sushi place in town. The staff is so so nice and attentive, guaranteed amazing service. The sushi is delicious and well presented. The hot food is spectacular and some of the best hibachi around. Our server nichola was one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had, and we have had a lot. Best sushi place in Wisconsin, matter of fact, probably the entire country. Please try this place out.

Waited 45 extra minutes for our order. To whomever runs this place, this is how you treat these situations. You say sorry and offer a gift certificate or piece off the bill. Instead just saying we are busy is the same as saying we don’t give a rip about our customers. Maybe VIP sushi doesn’t care because they make so much money, but ours will go to your competitor in Delafield from now on. Get your system dialed in or treat customers appropriately.

Have ordered take-out before and had minor issues with slow service and disorganization, but today (New Year’s Eve) was the worst.
– 5:04 PM: Order placed online.
– 5:05 PM: Confirmation text states food will be ready in 40 minutes.
– 5:45 PM: We arrive to restaurant and food is not ready.
– 6:00 PM: Asked again when food would be ready, told 10-15 minutes.
– 6:30 PM: Asked if any of our food was ready, were told that NOT A SINGLE ITEM was prepared.
– 6:45 PM: After waiting an HOUR after our scheduled pick-up time, we were told that the order was still not ready. We requested a refund and left WITHOUT OUR FOOD.
I can totally understand and empathize with being busy, particularly on a holiday, but the lack of communication and service was appalling. I tipped 25% in advance on a $100+ order and again – HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND. They easily could have contacted me to say that they would not be able to fulfill the order in time or could have shut down their online ordering. When we left, I checked and online ordering was still open with a 60 minute pickup estimate. There were zero apologies, no check-ins while we were waiting, no offers of compensation, anything. We literally didn’t even get a single item of our order.
Sadly, despite this being our NYE/birthday treat tradition for a few years running, we will not be ordering again from this business. Maybe dining in is different but I absolutely cannot recommend take-out.

Stopped in for sushi on a Friday night. We were seated within minutes of arriving. Our waitress was great! She was friendly and attentive. We started with a few apps- shrimp tempura and crab rangoon. For entrees, I had the birdnest signature roll. It was filled with salmon, mango and avocado and topped with different fish. Flavors were balanced and fresh. The others ordered the combo fried rice (delicious!) and the volcano roll. We were extremely pleased with our food and service! 5 stars

All I think about is the crab rangoons from VIP sushi. This place is literally the BEST. I highly recommend the crab rangoons , shrimp tempura roll, mango Avacado roll, spicy salmon roll, and the sweet potato roll. 10/10 – I’m here every week. Leo is the best server! Nice job VIP Sushi Team!!
