Beautiful lighting and a welcoming atmosphere! The food was excellent. I ordered the #1 lunch special for $7.99, which included a poblano pepper topped with cheese dip, a taco, refried beans, and a fresh guacamole salad—everything was flavorful and satisfying. My husband enjoyed the mixed ranchero daily special for $9.99 and loved it. Our waitress was attentive and made sure our glasses were always full. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely eat here again.

Eat here!! We read the reviews and almost didn’t stop. Let me tell you the food was great with large portions that we are use to. We stopped for lunch, I had the Rancher special $9.99 and my wife had the lunch Poblano plate $7.99. Everything including the chips were fresh and had a great taste. The waitress was friendly, attentive, smiling, and we had no issues ordering our food.

Fantastic food, quick and attentive service, plus interesting fun takes on classic Mexican dishes! They even have a small Spanish store inside with snacks, treats and more. I had a headache and was able to grab a packet of Tylenol, which was a life saver! I prefer the chicken but it was all very tasty and reasonably priced! LOVED it!

Is it the best Mexican food I’ve had? No. Service wasnt great. Initiallyit was ok but waited a long time for the ticket to pay. Food was good. Better than fast food would have been. If I’m staying overnight here again, I’ll come back for sure.

My husband and I were new to the area and tried all the other local Mexican restaurants before we found iguanas. I’m so glad we found this place!
We both are lovers of Mexican food so I would say we are snobbish when it comes to picking which Mexican restaurants we eat at.
I don’t leave very many reviews but I had to let people know Iguanas is the BEST and our favorite in Forrest City, Arkansas.
This review is based off our last couple of visits.
First Let’s start with the food
Three words: flavorful, consistent, and delicious!
Our favorite thing on the menu is the birra tacos and the consommé. We have enjoyed everything we’ve tried so far. They have delicious tamales and the Hawaiian fajitas are amazing as well.
Secondly the Waiter and waitresses Rock! They are friendly, hard working, and make the experience enjoyable. Customer service is everything and they have always made us feel welcomed.
Lastly the atmosphere is pleasant. The dinning room is spacious and give us plenty of room to not feel crowded next to other guest. The Bathrooms are always cleaned and smell nice.
When my husband and I have been in the last couple of times there hasn’t been many customers, which means we get our orders faster, but I wanted to leave a review to let others know about it.

Very tasty Mexican food in Forrest city, fast service and would happily eat here again. Ordered the combo 7 with a beef enchilada and chile relleno plus rice and beans, and the guacamole, loved both. Also the salsa is fresh and delicious, and served in a carafe to easily refill

I guess when you’ve had great Mexican food this experience would be terrible. Ordered tacos which comes with rice and beans and one other dish. The meat was disrespectful. The shell was soggy and I had a hot plate but food was cold. I would’ve enjoyed canned refried beans more than this. The rice was probably old because it was crunchy. I was going to order cheese dip to go but changed my mind after I received my food. Basically, I left all the food on the table. Wont return.

Such a charming spot that we stopped at during our roadtrip. Incredibly polite staff and the food was out minutes after we ordered, and tasted great. Not a restaurant you have to use the salt or pepper at, everything is seasoned perfectly. We had the chicken chimichanga and nacho ameca and was perfect! I suggest stopping here for a good bite and a good memory.
