LOVE! I highly recommend this place for GREAT food and an incredible wine list. The server we had was incredibly knowledgeable (I have studied wine and he impressed me) and the unique and amazing flavors of the food was mount watering. We had so much on the menu and wanted more of everything (but especially the mushroom risotto!). Go, and enjoy!

I stopped in just to get a drink while I waited for a table across the street at my favorite restaurant Double Knot. I was so impressed by this place that I skipped my reservation and stayed here. It is nice and chill here.. definitely my speed. Was able to get a seat by the window. The atmosphere is relaxed, decor is great, dimly lit with a lot of aged wood and exposed brick. Beautiful wine chandelier. The Lofi Spritz was delicious and if I’m completely honest.. that was one of the better gourmet burgers I’ve ever had. Found a new go-to bar. #salute

OMG! So completely loved this place!! Kush was an amazing server, very personable, and had great suggestions. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. So glad I chose to go here. I started with a red wine flight, and got a couple more glasses of the Jackpot. I decided to try different small plates. The Baked Brie was so good, the sweet and savory was a perfect blend. The Arugula salad had the pepper of the arugula, the sweet from the mandarins and a pop from the pomegranates. The Truffle Mushroom Risotto was a perfect blend. The Miso Salmon was cooked perfectly, with the crunch of the skin. And the Creme Brulé, is there ever enough in the dish! I will 1000% come back here when I return to Philadelphia.

This time, it was a one and done experience… and here’s why:
My husband and I walked in celebrating our 5 year anniversary. We were excited because for over a year now, we have been looking for this place, trying to find an amazing arugula martini that we had two years prior. Back then, we came in after the flower show on a whim and ended up leaving without either of us remembering the name of the bar. Fast forward to yesterday, my husband is all giddy because he found the bar and saw that they still had this arugula martini on the menu. Heck YES!
The place just opened, and we go in and sit at their bar. We ask the bartender for two arugula martinis explaining how excited we are to have them and why. She makes a concerned face, asks us to wait, then returns to let us know that she would be able to make those for us. SCORE!
We are finally sipping on these martinis, taking in the moment. It was fun to think about how we had been on this lengthy journey of finding this bar from 2 years ago, and now here we are!
A young lady comes in and sits a couple seats over, so far enough that we all have space, but close enough to hear conversation. She asks for an arugula martini and the bartender says, “Sorry! All out. Honestly, the arugula isn’t any good.” My husband and I look at each other and look at our martinis. The girl then asks for a recommendation for which martini she should go with instead, in which this genius of a bartender answers with, “If it were me, I would go with one of our glasses of wine. This is a wine bar, ya know? And, if you flip to the front of the menu, you’ll see we have happy hour going on right now.” Now, as someone who has been in the customer service industry their whole life, who has worked in many different areas of the hospitality industry primarily food and beverage, I found all sorts of wrong with this interaction.
Is it a wine bar? Yes. Do you have drinks listed on your menu that are NOT wine? Yes. The martinis were no less than $14 a pop. The HH glasses of wine were $6. This young lady really wanted a martini, yet the bartender coaxed her out of her desired drink of choice, NOT because the bartender is passionate about selling her wine, but because she’s LAZY and didn’t want to exert any effort. Couple that with, her selling us our arugula martinis with shotty ingredients instead of being honest with us, and I was no longer wanting to stay. I did NOT want to give this person any more of our money.
What she should have told us is, “Hey listen, I know you’ve been on the hunt for these martinis however, today the arugula isn’t looking so fresh. Would you maybe want to try something else instead?” Let US make our choice. We are chill and reasonable people who frequent the city often. We would have understood, ordered something else, and have tried again some other time. The mission of finding this bar was more fun to us, than the consumption of this arugula martini.
From a business standpoint, the house makes less money. My husband and I like to throw back a couple, and so we ended up taking our business around the corner. Not only was our tab WAY cheaper than it would have been, but so was the young lady’s who sat by us. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that the bartender and the business make more money if $14 martinis are sold over $6 glasses of wine.
Two years ago, when we wandered into this place, our server was amazing. Food was great. OBVIOUSLY, the drinks were great lol. The experience we had yesterday was absolutely horrible.
The bartender never came back to us. Not to check on our drinks. Not to see how we were doing. Not to ask if we wanted to maybe order food, or even if we wanted a second drink. I had to ask HER during one of the fleeting moments she was rushing past us for the check. Rushing where? To hang at the service area with the waitress and the manager(?).
Our check was just a little over $30. We paid and like I mentioned earlier, wandered into Oyster House where the service was AMAZING. We had 2 more drinks each and ordered a couple apps 🙂

I would Never Come again.
Dont Go. There are way better places in the right Next door.
The place is really nice on the INSIDE but the food IS way over priced. The portions are way smaller than the Pictures the owner Put on Google 7years ago.
WE had a wine flight (custom) and asked for dealer choice of American Red wines. WE got one White wine. After menioning this to the server He Just didnt Care.
WE also Had the cheese and mear Board wich was mediocer. They Just we’re Out of some stuff and instead of telling us straight forward they Just didnt serve them. After checking the menu and asking for them WE Just got a oh WE forgot and oh WE are Out… Would have been nice to know bevor ordering. Just a rip Off. I really didnt want to pay but was with a girl so i didnt make a scene about IT.
No effords by the waiter to make IT right we’re taken, No appology No compemsation
… Just a horrible way to expensive evening. Passing by the other places and seeing some really nice looking olives Made me even more sad.

Our server was rude 🙁 the food was 50/50. The atmosphere was perfection.

Came here with a friend for drinks and food on Friday night. Our server came up to me while I was waiting for my friend and I asked about the arugula martini and the draft red. He seemed bothered by my questions and said the draft was “just a light red.” I’ve worked in the service industry, and I don’t expect every server to know everything about the drinks, but this is a wine bar. i just didnt understand how my question was so bothersome. He seemed bothered by us the entire evening, maybe because we didnt order much food but we did order a lot of wine.

we got a salad which divine, and the fondue appetizer which felt a little lazy. not much to it and the cheese was very bland.

in truth I would consider coming back here just for wine and to enjoy the atmosphere. It’s dark and romantic!

My only complaint is the brussel sprouts. They were either previously frozen or way too much sauce was used. When I think of charred brussels, a crisp leaf comes to mind. These were incredibly soggy and unappealing.

Either way, the wine was great, awesome music selection, great atmosphere and the bartenders are super personable and attentive.

I really wanted to enjoy my time here. My partner and I really care about wine, and I’m particularly fond of Greek wines. When I saw they had a Greek flight on the menu, I was excited to go and made a trip of it. We were seated and brought water, and ordered a ($35!) flight of Greek wines. The server brought them back, and only at that point disclosed that one of the wines was unavailable and had been swapped out. I wish I had been told that when I was ordering, I would have changed my order. The first wine we ordered smelled off—I know natural, funky wines. This had the tell-tale wet cardboard dishwater aroma of something gone wrong. The substituted wine was bland and uninteresting, and the red was okay. I would have been happy to chat through the notes with my server if they had checked in on our table once. Despite looking around the restaurant and not touching ⅔ of our wines, we were only spoken to when we directly asked to get our check. We paid, and I would have mentioned something about the wine if I had been asked or if I had even had a moment with our server at the table before they walked away. So I spent $35 ($38 after tax) on a mediocre glass of red instead. Needless to say I will not be returning.
