Vinology continues to set the standard for thoughtful, ingredient-driven dining. Every dish reflected real care, precision, and respect for both technique and product.

We started with the Calabrian chili calamari, which was outstanding. Perfectly crisp without being heavy, tender throughout, and balanced beautifully by the subtle heat of the Calabrian chili vinaigrette and the brightness of the arugula and grilled lemon. It was the kind of dish where every element had a purpose.

The Stoney Creek Mushroom Bourguignon was exceptional. Deep, rich, and layered with flavor, the ragout had incredible depth, and the creamy polenta was smooth and comforting without being overly heavy. The mushrooms themselves were clearly high quality and expertly prepared, delivering both texture and umami in every bite.

We also had the braised beef short ribs, which were absolutely phenomenal. The beef was fork-tender and intensely flavorful, and the bordelaise was silky and concentrated without overpowering the dish. The pommes aligot were perfectly executed, with a luxurious texture that complemented the richness of the beef, while the roasted carrots added just the right contrast.

The overall experience was elevated further by the atmosphere and presentation. The dining room strikes a perfect balance between refined and comfortable, with warm lighting, thoughtful plating, and an energy that feels both lively and relaxed. The wine program is excellent, and everything from glassware to pacing reflects attention to detail.

Vinology exemplifies what makes Ann Arbor’s dining scene special. Exceptional ingredients, executed with confidence and care. Already looking forward to coming back.

I have photographed several weddings here and it is one of my favorite venues for a low key wedding! The staff and service is amazing, the food is absolutely some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had (including the desserts– the tiramisu cake is THE best), and it has low lighting/speak easy vibes. If you are a fan of cocktails, you will love everything that the bartenders come up with. 11/10, highly recommend!

My husband and I came here Friday and Saturday night this weekend. We love this place and have come here every time we come to Ann Arbor. Our experience with Cierra was nothing less than perfect. Last night she made amazing cocktails, exactly how we ordered them perfectly done and with a smile, and then she suggested an amazing pizza which we enjoyed greatly. Tonight we came in after the U of M hockey game and she greeted us like we had known each other forever, and we enjoyed some lovely wine that she suggested for us. Her patience and hospitality were second to none. We can’t wait to come back to Ann Arbor and Vinology!

Vinology was an experience! We caught the final 10 minutes of happy hour. Our server Kelsey:) was wonderful very freindly with honest and helpful recommendations. I had the jerk skewers $13 hot and spicy. Daughter and hubby had the smash burgers and were crazy happy. My son had the papardelle pasta flavor was great but quantity lacking and finally the wife had the baked brie and…loved it. Thank you Vinology and Kelsey:).

Amazing wedding venue! Eric communicated well throughout the entire wedding process. The staff were organized and the bartenders made excellent drinks. I love the decor downstairs in the bubble room and cellar. The food was excellent. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a small wedding venue.

My wife and I travel to Ann Arbor often. This trip was to go to a U of M hockey game. We stopped in on both Friday and Saturday and the service from Cierra (and Matt on Friday) were outstanding. We had such a great time talking to her. She gave great wine advice.

We also had the sausage pizza with the hot honey. Wow was that amazing.

If I were to add up the stars from both nights Cierra (Matt) and Vinology get 10 stars.

Had a very enjoyable dinner for Valentine’s Day. It was our fourth year in a row getting the pre fixe menu on V-day. My wife loved the tenderloin and I loved my crab stuffed trout. The chocolate crème brûlée was phenomenal! All around great experience!

Vinology is one of my favorite Ann Arbor restaurants. I have never had a disappointing meal or service at this established restaurant here in Ann Arbor. I like the booths but the tables are fine, too. The menu is imaginative, delicious, and nicely presented. Service is always gracious, but never fawning. The atmosphere is lively but not so overpowering that it is easy to carry on a conversation easily. Their restaurant week presentations always give a good overview of the menu potential which changes by season. Always worth the stop when visiting Ann Arbor. I highly recommend Vinology.

We had Kelsey—she was awesome. The food was incredible. We started with the Calamari (not lying, potentially the best calamari I’ve had). The smash burger with the truffle aioli was to die for, and the beet salad was super fresh. For dessert, the tiramisu was perfect. So glad to have tried this place! Totally recommend.
