This is my second visit to Vinny’s New York Pizza this week, and it has officially become one of my favorite spots in Sierra Vista. The place feels like a step back into a classic 1970s family pizza parlor — pictures covering the walls, checkered tablecloths, and that warm, nostalgic atmosphere you just can’t fake.
The food is absolutely fantastic. My first visit was with friends for pizza, and it was so good I came back again. This time I ordered the Hawaiian pizza along with boneless buffalo wings (medium heat with a little barbecue mixed in), and everything was perfect. The wings were especially outstanding — great flavor, great texture, and cooked just right.
Vinny’s has that true local-pizza-joint charm: relaxed, welcoming, delicious, and consistent. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for great pizza and wings in Sierra Vista. It’s wonderful.

The pizza here is the real deal. I came in with a friend from Buffalo who knows his way around an authentic slice, and he confirmed the taste is spot on. Truly some of the best NY-style pizza in the area. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the plating. The dishes they use really take away from the experience and don’t match the high quality of the food. Upgrade the presentation, and this place is perfect!

We always try and shoot for local spots when traveling through a town and when we saw Vinny’s we had to stop in. We love pizza and local so it seemed like a win win. We came in around 745-8 and noticed they closed at 9 since it was Friday. We already knew we were ordering wings and pizza so we’d be in and out fairly quick. The place was pretty busy. We were greeted by the girl at the register after a few minutes. We ordered hot wings and pepperoni/sausage pizza. There were four of us and then a boy dropped off our wings he left two plates and said he’d come back. He didn’t until much later with the pizza and we had to ask for more plates. The wings were great but the pizza is where it’s at. Everyone was really happy. Flavor was good and it was nice and hot. Crust wasn’t dry and overcooked. Vibe is what you’d think a local pizza family spot would be. There are a few pool tables though one was broken. It does look old and could use a little TLC. The place where they lost a star for me is while we were eating about four employees sat at a booth near us and were just chatting away. A in uniform Military woman came in stood at the counter for over five minutes and when the people in back ignored her. Someone said something and either they were too busy chatting to hear or just didn’t care. It was about 30 minutes to closing time. The employees really gave off the I don’t want to be here vibe. All in all we really liked the food. Prices were a bit high, but I’d rather pay that to a local spot than a huge chain. I just hope that’s not how they typically handle service.

Our 1st time and we were very impressed. We tried a variety of items and I can’t tell you my absolutely favorite but we had 2 different pizzas, Chicken parm, fried ravioli, and wings. Yes we had so many left overs but we couldn’t decide. We will definitely be back. The restaurant was large and had a family atmosphere. 2 pool tables that were out of order but in an open area. The bathroom was clean and easy to get too. See yall soon!

As a gal from upstate New York I NEVER thought I would find NY wings in ARIZONA of all places! However I was impressed and pleased. Go get the wings, do not pass up on these babies.

Best pizza in town, and absolutely the fastest on a Friday night. That being said, I had the worst customer service at the front trying to pay for an online order. I am hearing impaired so it takes me a few times to understand people in a louder environment. I asked the curly blonde woman with glasses at the front to repeat herself once or twice, which I understand can be frustrating, so I try to ask in the nicest way I can. But the absolute rudeness blew me away. I get people have rough days and can be ready to just go home, but that was absolutely uncalled for. I will definitely be back as I love the food, but if I see her at the front, I will either ask to speak to someone else or just turn around.

Walking in the atmosphere is a very homely and peaceful place. The decore reminds you of a new York Italian pizza shop. A little pricey but worth it. The only thing that didn’t make it a 5 star waste mozzarella sticks was cold and didn’t have cheese pullthat your looking for. Other then that it was a great experience and better then R&Rs service. I would definitley recommended the pesto pizza and the Mediterranean chicken pizza. The homicidal wings is a must try. I will be going back for more.

I had the Buffalo wings SO GOOD!! Service was fast and friendly. LOVE the home town atmosphere too!! Update… ate here again. This time we tried the “medium” sauce. Wow they were very flavorful. We nicknamed the sauce “the devils ketsup” . Very good and also very hot . Still one of may favorite places to eating SV. The gluten free crust was pretty good too!

Update Sept 2023: we’ve been back a few times and the first couple were fine but our most recent visit was disappointing. The golden tangy wings my husband loves so much were either over cooked or just old wings. They were rubbery and didn’t taste right at all. The other food wasn’t as good as before either so due to the inconsistency I dropped a star. We will probably try them again in the future and I’ll update if it’s better. As a local restaurant with a lot of history we want to support them but I hope they can improve their quality and consistency to avoid concerns like this in the future.
OG review (July 2023) We’ve gone to Vinny’s a couple of times now after a friend recommended their wings. My husband loves the GoldNTangy wings so much he called the restaurant back after we got takeout and told them they are his new favorite wings. We got a Mediterranean pizza that time as well and it was flavorful. The pizza is thin and floppy which we don’t mind, it doesn’t hold up for left overs well though, so eat it fresh!
We went back to dine in and I had the baked ziti which was fresh and tasted good. I would have preferred more cheese but the sauce was nicely seasoned.and the garlic bread tastes homemade in the best way.
My husband had the GoldNTangy wings again of course with a beer on tap which he said complimented the wings well. He also tried the Eggplant Parm sandwich which he enjoyed. I tried it and the eggplant tasted a bit like cucumber to me but the breading was tasty. It could have used a tad more sauce we both agreed.
We had the same lady as our cashier on both visits and she was friendly and talkative but not inappropriate. She gave honest answers and food recommendations.
The restaurant feels like a home town local pizza place with a lot of history, which it is. It’s clean and comfortable enough. No real issues.

Pizza and wings are great but multiple times the service has been atrocious. Wings will come out in minutes and then over a half hour later for a pizza leaving half your table done eating with the other half waiting on their meals – not okay. Constantly having problems with the draught beer, may want to just go bottled.
