food is fantastic. my gripe was with the staff. we were seated in the covered awning. construction on 9th street started late in the evening, and the restaurant staff asked everyone but our table if they wanted to move into the main dining area. incredibly rude/ignorant behavior.

If you like french food you are going to love this place! Seriously really amazing macaroni and cheese. I kid you not get the mac and cheese and there’s enough to share for 3 or 4 people. Their salads and french fries are also amazing but don’t fill up too much because you will definitely want to get dessert. I highly recommend the chocolate mousse or the apple bread pudding great gin and tonics I recommend conniption gin. And I’ve never had a bad waitress waiter sitch.

Arriving at the doors you’re instantly met by a wealth of smiles/friendly faces.
The experience is absolutely stellar. Jax our server, was professional, knowledgeable, made excellent food, and wine recommendations, was extremely kind, and coursed everything out perfectly like a champ.
Support worked hard to ensure there were clean utensils and dishes throughout the entire meal.
Management, Alex, was incredibly welcoming, I felt right at home, as if I dined there 100 times before.

Simply delicious! The restaurant is so quaint and beautiful. Feels like you’re actually in France! Our server was just awesome and so accommodating. A manger stopped by and was very friendly and genuinely concerned that everything was perfect. French onion soup, fries, and baked oysters were all outstanding! Will return soon!

I wanted to try this restaurant as a birthday treat. The atmosphere was nice and lended itself to the special occasion. The cheese and wine were so good, but the lamb/potato chef’s special (pictured below) was absolutely awful; it was too salty and had a weird texture. I also noticed they delivered my entree to the wrong table, took it back, walked out the room, and then brought it to me. Of note, I appreciated the candle lit dessert they provided at the end of my meal.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Estrella and her team at Vin Rouge this past week for a wedding. She made everything feel seamless and was incredibly attentive to both our team and the couple’s needs. Her communication leading up to the event was clear and thoughtful. The entire Vin Rouge staff was truly amazing, friendly, efficient, and so attentive to guests throughout the evening, and the food was absolutely delicious! We look forward to working together again in the future!

I was very disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. I had always heard that Vin Rouge had great food (although I mainly heard about their Mac and cheese which I had tried years ago, which was meh…) and I was excited to give it another chance after many years.
For the food, we tried to go with some classic French foods, so we chose: escargot, steak tare tare, trout, and paté. I’ve had all of these before and they’re some of my favorite French foods, but some of them were just okay and others were outright horrible. The escargot literally tasted like dirt, which in past experiences with it at other restaurants, had just been loads of butter and garlic. Hard to go wrong with that. The other dish that was less than passable was the trout, which lacked much flavor, was over cooked, and somehow, again, tasted like dirt. Not that these dishes tasted bad, but they literally had the distinct taste of dirt. The steak tare tare and the paté were passable, but definitely not good enough to be the saving grace of this meal and 100% not worth the price of this restaurant.
On top of the food being bad, the service was not good at all. While the server was nice enough and personable, we ordered within maybe 5 or 10 minutes of sitting down, but had to wait something like an hour before the first dishes slowly started coming out. In the end, we stayed in the restaurant around 2+ hours, mostly due to the massive wait time.
After giving this restaurant another chance after maybe 15 years, it does not deserve the reputation that it has relied on all these years, and is definitely not worth even close to what they are charging.

Went here for a cute date night and the food was amazing. Our waitress was so chill which made our experience even better. Nothing like having a waitress stop you every minute to ask how the food is. I’m glad she wasn’t the way. We didn’t feel rushed to eat or leave. The drinks were great and will definitely be coming back soon. The atmosphere was very romantic and low lit, such a great place.

I had an intimate wedding dinner here in the red room. It was perfect for our group of 14 (but there was room for a couple more). The service was incredible. I felt so well taken care of the whole time, and the food was magnificent (as it always is here). They printed custom menus with our names and date which I thought was a sweet touch. I would highly recommend for a high-end private event!
