THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IVE EVER TRIED!!!!! Wowwww! From the service, to the staff, to the food, everything was up to par! While it may seem small inside, this place is constantly packed! The food is always fresh and made to order I will become a regular because now I don’t think I could eat anywhere else for Mexican food but here! Such a great experience

Main Street is closed off.

There is patio or sidewalk, inside dining and bar counter seats too. Small inside dining area.

Diana is waiting on us.

Ordered guacamole and chips, chicken flautas, chicken Tinga tacos, ensalada verde, chicken fajitas. $78.76

They charge to use a credit card. I find this credit card charge to be quite pathetic and annoying.

The corn chips are so-so, not fresh and crunchy as some places. Bagged? The mild salsa is okay. Their hot salsa is just hot, not a lot of flavor.

The green salad is super fresh, the mixed greens at least, but the herb dressing is super bland and lacks any flavoring at all. Added table pepper to give the salad a hint of flavoring.

The guacamole is fresh, no flavoring to it, maybe salt at most. The chicken flautas had the most flavor of anything so far.

The chicken flautas are quite good. Slightly crunchy and nicely stuffed with chicken and jalapeños too, what a nice . Good flavoring overall. One of the better flautas we have had in a while. There was small avocado stem in the creamy avocado at the bottom of the bowl for our flautas.

The extra flour tortillas takes a bit to warm up for the fajitas.

The chicken Tinga is wilting through the corn tortillas, it’s moist for sure. It lacks in flavor.

The side of rice puffy and tasteless.

The chicken fajita is flavored with mostly salt and that’s about it. The meat is really tender at least. They only give you 3 tortillas. They usually charge for 3 more four tortillas. I would have been beyond disappointed if they charged us extra for the second foil of cheap flour tortillas. Perhaps they should give you 4 to start?

It’s a definite ideal spot for folks that don’t like any added kick or flavoring in their food much. The chicken flautas is the only thing this place executed well tonight.

The food is very clearly made with care and love, delicious and fresh! Excellent customer service and atmosphere. Prices were better than expected given the Downtown Northville location.
I don’t drink alcohol and the waitress made me the most delicious NA mojito. I so appreciate being able to get something other than water when eating dinner out.

Upscale Mexican restaurant right in downtown Northville – food was quality, cocktails were delicious, beer is only bottled with many being Mexican imports. Enjoyed the outdoor seating in the street while we could but the inside is very neat. Walked out with a $100 bill before tip with just my wife and I, but we had a few drinks each. I hope they expand the menu a little, but would definitely return at least for a drink and app at the cool bar.

Unlike the chains, they always have something a bit different. Owners stop by your table and you’re very likely to see local business people enjoying a meal as well

I ordered from them through ExCater for a doctor’s office. The food was delivered on time and hot. The steak for the steak fajita tacos was very tender and flavorful. Lots of grilled peppers and onions accompanied the steak. I asked for half flour and half corn tortillas which they did for me. The street corn came with lots of fresh toppings like crema, mayonnaise, cilantro, Pico de gallo, two salsas, one mild, one a little spicier, 2 kinds of cheeses, onions, and so much more. The refried beans and tortilla chips were very good as well. I can’t say enough about this very upscale Mexican food. I ordered from there for a picky eater physician and he asked for it again. The portions were plenty as it was a catering order for 15 ppl. No more On The Border for me. The cost per person is higher for me because of delivery and tip. Overall, great food!

Our waitress was awesome. Loved her. The place was cool and we were seated right away. Margaritas were strong and tasty, and the queso with chorizo was delish. Other than that, the food was mediocre. I didn’t love the chips and salsa, which is critical imo. Also our tacos were a little bland. Not sure we’d go again, because there are so many good Mexican options in the area.

This is a must-try restaurant!! A real gem!! Not your typical mexican restaurant. It’s geared towards a healthier option. No frying here! Old fashioned oven baking and all homemade food with exceptional flavors. Using generations old recipes. Exceptional food, service, ambiance and surprisingly reasonable prices. This restaurant is a breath of fresh air compared to other mediocre mexican restaurants. Highly recommend!

I just found a little gem of a Mexican restaurant in the heart of downtown Northville called Ville Norte today! They’ve been here for 3 months now and I’m glad I stopped in today.

The staff are friendly and helpful & will answer your questions about the meals they prepare. The dining room offers small tables and a long bar. The interior is clean & inviting.

I had the Enchiladas Rojas with picadillo (ground beef option). The cheeses they use (house crema & queso fresco) are light & fresh, and are typically used in the Northern part of Mexico, specifically in the state of Nuevo Leon. Normally, I’m used to the heavy Monterey Jack cheese; but because these cheeses are so light & fresh, it allows the flavors from the corn tortillas & beef to shine through. The ground beef is well prepared and tasty, no pools of grease on this plate! The corn tortillas are supple and their mild corn taste comes through. The rice & beans come on a separate plate. The rice is flavorful & the texture of the refried beans is just right (not runny or crusty).

If you want to add heat to your meal, they offer a sauce that provides a good kick without you having to call the fire department. Again, the focus is on being able to experience all the flavors of each ingredient.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for an authentic taste of Northern Mexico that uses fresh ingredients without having to get on a plane to Nuevo Leon, come here!!! Villa Norte will make an excellent addition to downtown Northville’s dining options. Come give them a try, you’ll be glad you did!!!

This quaint restaurant exceeded my expectations. I’m so excited to have found it. I loved the vibrant atmosphere but the food was the star of the show! The guacamole with fried chicken is unbelievable, and their barbacoa tacos are so delicious. The ingredients are simple and fresh, which is a welcomed departure from the typical heavy, salty tex-mex food that leaves you questioning your food choices and worrying about your health. Give this place a try, you won’t be sorry. Don’t forget to order a margarita….cheers!
