Staying up at Giants Ridge skiing with the family and wanted some place outside the resort to eat. Was recommended this place in Gilbert and were not disappointed. The towns around here are quiet in the winter-no reservations needed. There was only one other couple at the bar and we had our selection of any table. Chose a cozy booth for our family of four. Bartender came up quickly to take our drink order. They had a few specialty cocktails in their menu and the basics.
Hubby and I both had their smashburger and it didn’t disappoint. I had onion rings and he had the fries. Fries were the double-fried kind (delish) and onion rings were large and crispy. My kiddos order buttered noodles and chicken wings and both were happy.
Atmosphere was warm and cozy and slowly it got a bit more busy in there. Recommend a stop for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area and need a casual but good bite to eat in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
For those with kids- they have kids items, but not an official menu. Just ask your server. They said chicken nuggets, butter noodles, mini corn dogs as a few options.

What a cool place. All original from 1923. The atmosphere is just stellar. I can’t even begin to explain how cool this place is. Just stop i. And have a drink like we did. You won’t be disappointed

Being from Germany, I love to polka! We arrived and the band was just warming up, within minutes they started playing polka’s. I asked my bride to dance and we spent the whole night on the dance floor. I had one Grain belt Premium and was grinning the whole night. We are heading back up today and I hope there is another polka band playing.

Wow! Had the Chef’s Pasta Special tonight and it was awesome! Shrimp Scampi over Linguine Noodles. Service and Atmisphere is awesome as well! We go to Nick’s a couple times every month and will continue.

I’ll edit once they get a better understanding of their food and put away the salt shaker, and other issues. Ambiance was awesome. Beers cold. Nice bar inside. Now let’s get a bit more serious on the food, as a local patron. The tall chef wearing the all white coat back 5 (?) years ago knew his food, infact we raved about it back when he was back there. Please learn from that.
