Note: this guy is pretty particular about how he runs his establishment, but there are no surprises. You see signs everywhere.
• no outside food or drink allowed (including your own water bottle/stanley)
• 3% credit card fee
• if you order to go, you have to leave. No boxes at the tables
• automatic 10% gratuity on whole pizza purchases in store (doesn’t apply for to go)
The pizza is worth the rules. You gotta try it!
Go to Big Apple Pizzeria instead.
Found it. I bought slices and a meatball parm sub.
The slices were large slices with small strips of pepperoni. Strange to not see full slices if pepperoni but it was great. Never a bite without pepperoni!
It did not disappoint. I recommend. Enjoy.
Thanks for the great pies!
I was excited to give the place a shot. New York style pizza, what could go wrong? The building was packed when I first walked in, and they have lots of different sized booths for those who want to sit and stay. All great signs to start off with! Except, they ran out of single slices two people in front of me and started only offering whole pies with a 45-minute wait. 45 minutes isn’t THAT long, so I decided to go for it and order a pie.
Tell me why I waited over an HOUR for the most crusty, dusty, and burnt piece of garbage I have ever set on my tongue? While the sweet tomato sauce, melty cheese, and crisp pepperoni were a wonderful delight, they did not make up for the sandpaper crust that basically ravaged war in my mouth. I could feel my teeth growing sharper with each bite as if I had my own personal whetstone. Comparing this pizza to wood chips would be an insult to trees.
Not to mention that the owner (I can only assume) had a fit when someone asked for their receipt. He said, and I quote: “Why would you ask for a receipt when we’re this busy?” If you’re going to have poor customer service, at LEAST have the food quality to make up for it
I hope my stomach stops gurgling by dinner time…
Mangia.
