Lunch or dinner is a good choice. Salads, soups, appetizers, desserts and plated meals are well prepared and have that home cooked feel. Never been there without a reservation.. I’ve always observed they are busy air the time. The wait staff is fair at best and for me the lighting could be better!
The food was mostly great — the French onion soup was flavorful, and the calamari had a good spicy kick. The mac and cheese was so good with that crispy breading on top. The steak and asparagus were cooked well, and the sweet potato fries were tasty, though a little too sweet — they really don’t need extra sugar. The mashed potatoes had good flavor but could’ve been a bit creamier.
The martinis were good. The water had a strange taste, the Sprite tasted more like 7UP, and the glassware was a bit sticky, which was noticeable.
Overall, good food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. The staff handled our allergy situation really well, which made the visit much better. A few small details could be improved, but we’d come back again.
Shout out to Jason, he was relentless in his pursuit of customer satisfaction. He was efficient and brought wine samples for my wife to try to make sure she was happy with her full glass decisions. He offered when asked his opinions on some select dishes and led us to some selections.
Food-The brussel sprouts(recommend by Jason) were charred perfectly with a just a hint of the maple syrup. Large portion for 2 or 3. Clam chowder was perfectly creamy with nice chunks of clam(see pic) and the bowl was large! I order clam chowder EVERY time I see it on the menu and this was one of the best I can remember. She ordered 8oz Filet Mignon, I got the 14oz Delmonico Ribeye. Hers was perfect in all facets. Mine was tasty, charred perfectly, but thought it a tad thin, maybe right at 1″ definitely not more. Garlic Mashed potatoes were fine, sautéed spinach was right texture but was missing something? Her asparagus was not the thin ones but the huge fat less flavorful type.
Dessert- Butter cake was moist with good fresh blueberries and strawberries. Carrot cake was moist too, look at it glisten in picture but cream cheese frosting didn’t compare to another steak establishment that has the best.
Our booth was very comfortable and it was spaced perfect distance from the table. I normally hate booths.
Overall we will back for again.
Chicken bacon grill is superb and Salmon burger is amazing. Ingredients definitely are pretty good.
We also had the Positano pizza—very good. I highly recommend it as well. My son had the cowboy burger, and he really liked it too. It was excellent.
All the food was very fresh—really fresh. This is definitely a restaurant I recommend. Great service, great food, and I felt like I paid a fair price for what I got.
