On our Wednesday Night Culinary Travels we ended up in Roslindale Village at The Village Sushi & Grill . We sat outside on the Patio and were Greeted by our Waitress who was Welcoming and Helpful with Menu choices. She took our Drink and Appetizer orders for the Tempura Starter, Chicken on Skewer, Don Shumai (deep fried), Scallion Pancake, Sushi Starter, Miso Soup, Unagi (Eel) Sushi and an Entree of Bui-Go-Ki . Everything was Delicious and Tasty. The Drinks were Ice Cold . The Service was Excellent .

Stay away from this restaurant. The man at the entrance with glasses, the one who greets people, is unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Forget the food, the biggest issue here is that he shows zero respect to the guests who walk in. Really disappointing.

Sashimi deluxe (22 pieces and rice) for pick-up. I wasn’t texted when it was ready as mentioned on their site. Half of the pieces were smaller than other restaurants’. Mostly tasteless / bland / felt water-injected. Got 21 pieces plus two imitation crabmeat pieces (not requested). Wrote in order comment not to have chopsticks / napkins as part of my packaging but got them anyways (recommend you call if you write about an allergy). $45 with tip for disappointment.

Enjoyed the atmosphere here. Totally nice place to have a beautiful lunch outside.
Personally I tried the Shocking & California rolls as well as the Philadelphia roll. The fish was fresh. Aesthetically speaking the avacado was past its prime. Taste overall wasn’t terrible or amazing just average. That said my girlfriend had the Chicken Teriyaki bento box and really enjoyed it.
Definitely worth a try and I will say if possible sit outside it’s a cool spot.
