We felt like I had walked in a friend’s house getting some good breakfast!
We sat at one of the small tables near the wall. If you are just having coffee or you are alone, it’s not bad. There was no room for our food. We had to condense them onto one plate. Servers are friendly and attentive, I almost forgot to take pictures because the food took so long to come out about 25 minutes. They don’t have a full breakfast like other restaurants. My husband was disappointed, 1,2 or 3 eggs with toast and home fries, meat is separate at 4.00 each order. So we both got the hungry villager 3 eggs, but we only got 2, (They did offer to give us the two overeasy eggs to take home when we asked about the menu and eggs) we ordered this so my husband could have the meats he wanted, double toast and eggs, I had the homefries and pancakes . We were told to watch the bill for inconsistency by other customers sitting near us, but our bill was fine. The tea water was boiled, and tea was good homefries had a taste of onion, I found them to be tasty, the food was good, the pancakes were filling, would suggest a steak knife to cut through, a butter knife takes a bit to cut through the pancakes, blueberries were extra 2.99 so I passed. Coffee is so so. This breakfast nook was my older brothers 1st job as a cook many years ago. The previous long-term owners had a picture with him in it, and it hung up for years, so this place holds memories for me, and I hope and wish them the best of luck.
While we waited, the peg game at the table was such a fun touch. It kept us entertained and made the wait fly by — especially for kids!
Our server, Louann, was fantastic. She has such a fun personality and made our morning even better. She was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly.
The food came out fast, hot, and exactly right. The bacon was cooked perfectly, and the blueberry cornbread was hands-down the best we’ve ever had — absolutely delicious. Even my child said his favorite part of the whole visit was the servers, which really says something!
We’ll definitely be back. Great food, great service, and an all-around great atmosphere.
Lots of coffee as expected.
I had a Veggie Omelet with beans and toast. All excellent. Big portions (half the omelet leftover pictured).
Friendly staff and great service.
