Food was great, the appetizers of fried shrimp tossed in a sweet chilli sauce delicious. The seafood chowder was okay, a bit heavy on the cream, but otherwise good. The kids cheeseburger was cooked perfectly to medium as requested as was the fillet minigon. The mash potatoes were delicious. The pork chop was unfortunately over done. However, even that dishes presentation was immaculate and sides delicious – especially the side of greens cooked with whole cloves of garlic. Plenty of dishes to try here, and will definitely be back to try the oysters which they unfortunately ran out of.

One of the best all around meals I have had in a restaurant, ever! My mom and I came here last night, looking for a meal that matched with the cool fall weather. This did not disappoint! We started with the butternut squash caprese. This was so delicious and so unique! I have never had anything like it. Definitely something I would go back for over and over. For our mains I got the black Angus cottage pie, and my mom got the black Angus rib eye. Both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were outstanding in everything but the potato aspect of both dishes were a favorite for us both. The cottage pie aged cheddar whipped potatoes were perfect and my mom is still raving about the twice baked potato that cane with her ribeye. For dessert we got the vanilla bean creme brule which was even better than the one I make and I am known for my homemade creme brule. We had a local peach cider with our meal that really complimented everything as well. The service was excellent and friendly. The atmosphere cute and cozy. The cost of the whole meal was extremely reasonable for the excellent quality. For 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts and 3 ciders it was under $150 total. I would have gladly spent double that for that meal.

The food and service was great I had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. The cocktail was very delicious. It was also very nice that we were able to take our coffee and dessert to go.
A little weird to walk through what appeared to be the staging area to get to the rest of the seating but the artwork and exposed brick was charming. Kind of wish they had the gas fireplace running.
Also the lighting seems rather bright for dinner service but I’m sure it helps the wait staff who were accommodating and helpful.

Such a great date night spot! Our waitress Lauren was amazing — super attentive, and everything came out quickly and perfectly cooked. I ordered the filet, my boyfriend got the chop… both were so good. The butternut squash soup was chef’s kiss and the fried oyster appetizer was fresh and flavorful. We ended with chocolate crème brûlée (ugh… unreal ). Already can’t wait to go back!

We took a day trip to Winchester. We googled places for lunch. Several were suggested, and Village Square Restaurant sounded the best to us. The restaurant exceeded our expectation. Delicious soup, sandwiches, and salad at a reasonable price in a charming place. We will make that a go to when in Winchester again.

My all-time favorite brunch place in Winchester!
The staff is friendly & attentive… The food never disappoints! The smoked salmon eggs benedict is by far my favorite… Their salads are always good and have me trying new combinations… and best of all, the strawberry shortcake!
If you haven’t been… you definitely should! You won’t regret it.

Rockefeller oysters were good, the raw oysters were just ok. The chef special salad was good, maybe too much salad dressing. The Maryland crabcakes were excellent, filled with lots of crabmeat. Very close to the best we’ve had in Maryland. The coleslaw was bland, need some sauce. The shoestring fries were excellent. The shrimps & grits was very different in a good way, just wish more grits. Plenty of shrimps & the collard greens was a nice addition. Service was great. Indoor ambiance was nice. Outdoor seating looks inviting. Overall a solid 4.5 rating. They had couple specials on the menu like a ribeye steak and rack of lamb. Great location to a pay parking garage & in the middle of Old Town Winchester.

Cute restaurant with really kind staff. Everything was really great. I had the salmon burger special, and the only downside was the kimchi was too salty (and I love salt).
**updating after visiting again for dinner today. Changed the food from 4 stars to 3 stars. Unfortunately, the food at dinner was a miss across the board. The risotto and scallops were overcooked and under seasoned, and the cheesecake was horrible. Fortunately, we had an amazing server!

Wow! Wow! Wow!!!
The new owner Dan is impressive!!!
I joined friends for a special menu and tequila-tasting event. This was incredible!!!!! I seriously can’t use enough exclamation marks to describe it. It was so well put together, the chef and tequila representative gave such a wonderful explanation of what we were tasting and a little history too.
The food seriously was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I hope they do more of these events and I will be a regular now.
I reviewed this place several years ago and was not impressed. After my return visit the other night I had to delete that old review and update it so you all will visit and love it. The scallops were my favorite!! Oh, and the dessert of course!

Enjoyed our meal at the Village Square in the charming little town of Winchester, VA. Located in the Old Town, the restaurant offers a great variety of dishes. We lucked out that the special that night was a grouper dish with pesto risotto, which was fresh & cooked beautifully. The Argentinian steak with chimichuri sauce was a delightful burst of flavor. We had the General Tso’s shrimp which was equally delicious.
Our server Paul took very good care of us, ensuring our drinks were filled & we has everything we needed. We will definitely return when we’re back in town.
