From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this restaurant views customers as more of an inconvenience than guests. The lack of basic hospitality and indifferent service sets the tone early on. Staff barely make eye contact, and the “process” to get a table feels like fast food. You’re required to order and pay at the counter before even being seated, which makes sense later, given the quality of what you’re served.

I ordered a Reuben sandwich, and my dining partner ordered the “large chicken nachos” from the appetizer menu. Once seated, the food was dropped off at our table without so much as a “Can I get you anything else?” The lack of any courtesy, let alone standard dining expectations, was noticeable.

Now, let’s talk about the nachos. It was our error that we missed the onions, but we hadn’t touched the plate and asked if it could be remade without them. We were met with a flat “no” and told it was our responsibility to specify. Even beyond this, the dish itself was poorly prepared. Large portions were burnt, with dry, unmelted cheese clumps in the middle. It almost seemed like they took a blowtorch to the top without any regard for the rest.

As for the Reuben, this was the real disappointment. I’ve had my share of Reuben sandwiches, and this was, without exaggeration, among the worst I’ve seen. It had all the hallmarks of a prepackaged, truck-stop item: thin, store-bought bread, bland deli meat, and a smear of something resembling an aioli. The sauerkraut tasted stale, and the “side” was a single pickle spear. At $14, this would be hard to justify at a roadside convenience store, let alone a sit-down establishment.

Adding insult to injury, we were told to bus our own table, and we found cups, silverware, and other condiments on a trolley alongside dirty dishes, all waiting for the next guest. The decor feels frozen in time somewhere between the late ’70s and early ’80s, but without the charm you’d hope for in a retro space.

If you’re looking for a meal, spare yourself the time and frustration and head across the street for better food and genuine service.

Verdict: Overpriced, underwhelming, and absolutely not worth it.

The pizza wasn’t terrible. It tasted like the type of pizza you see turning in a glass box at snack shops. The Italian sausage sandwich was on special but it wasn’t anything special. It had ok flavor, and the sauce and cheese were decent. I’ve had better and worse elsewhere. The chicken and dumpling soup was probably the best part even though it looked kind of watery. The restaurant has a weird layout and the staff never came to refill our drinks even though we sat directly in front of them and they were just standing there talking. I can’t give this place high praise, but it’s ok.

People/associates had 0 customer service skills. After the couple in front of us walked out we waited 15 minutes and the girl and older gentleman still didn’t even take anyone’s order so we left as well. Will not be back!

We stopped by during our vacation from Nebraska. Such a cute little place inside and out! We got the Margherita pizza (without pine nuts) and it was delicious, the crust on it was really nice! The person behind the counter was kind and patient with us while we were deciding on what we wanted.

We got ice cream afterwards. Same as the pizza side, service was awesome! The lady behind the counter was friendly and patient while my MIL and a group of ladies next to us sampled some flavors. I got Praline Pecan, always a favorite. My MIL got Lemon Bar and Chocolate Silk, she liked them a lot!

Overall a wonderful experience!

The staff was very friendly great atmosphere. I ordered the Hot Hawaiian pizza. The jalapeno made the pizza hot which tasted like from a jar. I wish there was a kick in the sauce when one advertises a hot Hawaiian pizza. The crust was crunchy and the cheese was stringy. There was no herbs on it that I could taste.

Great patio and our favorite pizza in town. They have a GF crust and I recommend the Sunset for safety because the sauce is an olive oil drizzle. Also, it’s delicious! If I could, I would eat the garlic cheese bread and Hungarian Mushroom soup every day. Great beer/cider/wine menu, too!

Decent coffee. Okay service. Smoothies were not very good.

They have a restaurant here as well as a coffee/ice cream bar. Outdoor and indoor seating is available here. They also have a small gift shop attached to the side.

The coffee was decent, the fruit smoothie that my sister got was not very tasty. I would not recommend the smoothies here.

We love coming here every time we come up north! Friendly service who stopped back often. Delicious pizza – we always get the Kitchen Sink. A tradition for our family for decades. Great prices, too. We love this place.
