OMG! I absolutely loved the French toast here. Stopped in here by chance with a friend, quick service and cheap prices, food came quick. Nice thick slab of ham, the Feench Toast was dusted with cinnamon sugar and the melted sweet butter was the perfect topping! Neat little town here, I hope to come back one day.

Great classic diner atmosphere was great. Food was mediocre. Instant mashed potatoes, gravy from a can. The sausage chowder was interesting but I didn’t expect polish sausage. Country fried steak might have been good, but the gravy detracted. Servers were great!

Cozy family style place that has the best patty melt I’ve ever had. I have been there with people multiple times and even took my mother from Italy to eat there and let me tell you it’s so worth it. Beware it is usually very crowded on weekend, especially Sunday after mass, so finding a spot might be a challenge!

The prices are insane for how good the food is.
I absolutely recommend to save a bit of stomach space for their pies bc they’re to die for, the pie of the day it’s always a great temptation but my favorite was the sugar free mixed berries pie

Came in for lunch, I was by myself, after I sat down I wasn’t acknowledged for a few minutes, when I was acknowledged I was told the specials, asked what I want to drink and when I was brought my drink she asked if I needed a couple more minutes, that waitress never came back to ask what I wanted and I waited another several minutes before a different waitress took my order. My fries were cold, stale, and dry, my chicken club was okay. I wasn’t asked by my waitress if everything was tasting okay, I wasn’t acknowledged again after my food was dropped off actually. I wasn’t told about dessert specials, I heard from them telling other tables, the one they had actually sounded pretty good but I wasn’t asked if I wanted any when a different person brought me my bill and it almost felt like they were rushing me out. I’m a waitress too, I’m not sure if this was their rush, it didn’t look too busy to me, but I make an effort to make sure my tables, regulars or not, feel welcome. I didn’t feel that way there unfortunately.

The Village Kitchen feels like a not so secret, secret spot! The dining room is very busy but they keep people moving. Food is delicious and is made to order and comes out fast. The service was friendly and they let us know about the specials. The atmosphere feels like you’re sitting in Grandma’s kitchen and your breakfast is almost ready!

Very rude lady that works there. She (female in her 60s) came up to tell two females (sitting next to us but didn’t know) the restaurant couldn’t and wouldn’t give them a kids meal. Understand that. But to talk so loud that we and others could hear it was embarrassing to those people. And then she proceeds to go to other regulars to tell them about the issue. Loudly! Didn’t have to be rude. I don’t like rude people. Totally avoidable. Just say to them ” listen we can’t” but don’t embarrass them? And I bought some take out. I got home and it tasted like bland cheap food. All of it. Wasted my money and my experience.

Local popular restaurant, fast, efficient service. Great french fries, half order was plenty hubby n I shared a very generously portioned roast beef sandwich covered in good brown gravy. Really could not finish it all. Apple cobbler a plus espectially if you love sweets. They sold out while we were there. Observed liver n onions, spagetti N chili was very popular with those around us. Very busy on Monday night.

This is good food that I recommend for anyone that is passing through or here in town for work. I tried the double cheeseburger with fries and soup of the day. I was very satisfied and would come back again to try their other menu options. This is a local family restaurant, expect to wait a reasonable amount of time during their busy hours.
