First time coming here. Heard great things about it so we had to give it a shot. Never heard of Barberton Chicken… Not much flavor (it’s the style it’s meant to be like that) but very good! My boys loved the ribs and even more the ice cream machine! Wife loved her locally sourced steak! I had the chicken and it was great! Our server Holly was a rockstar go in and ask for her as she was very helpful in answering our questions! Will definitely go back we will have to try their specials!

One of the Saturday only specials is ribs. They fell off the bones. Some of the most tender ribs I’ve ever had. The owners make several items from their own recipes. They also own a butcher shop so all the meat is very fresh.

New to the area and never been. When on a fish fry Friday. Got a table quick on a busy night. Food and service was fast. Food was good for a local place. Hosts were a little brash. My other half did get splashed by the staff cleaning the table next to us. Will try again.

I was there for a small event (25-30 ish) so we had a buffet style meal for our group. The spicy rice and fries were really good. The coleslaw was good, but I prefer mine with mayo and this was vinegar based. To be fair, I’m not a fried chicken fan no matter where I go, so I can’t really speak to the chicken; however, the place was packed so people must like it. My favorite part was the end with the self serve ice cream and chocolate sauce.

I used to come here with my grandparents when I was a kid. We visited here for the first time in ages. The food was decent for the money, but maybe not quite as good as I remember it being.
Our waitress forgot about us. My wife had to flag down a different waitress for a drink refill.

Everything was so good. The French fries were hot and delicious, burgers very good. The steak and fried chicken didn’t disappoint. The side dishes were good, especially enjoyed the rice ‘hot sauce’. The kids loved the free soft serve ice-cream. We will definitely come back when in town again.

The owners and staff at Village Inn Chicken are amazing people! Due to the recent snowstorm, the venue I had reserved to celebrate my dad‘s 90th birthday party told me the night before that they were gonna be closed on January 26 and could not host my party. So I had 62 people coming to my dad‘s party and nowhere to host them. We got in touch with Village Inn Chicken and they were happy to accommodate us with less than 24 hours notice. The staff was amazing and so helpful the day of the party. And the food was delicious! Everybody was happy and remarking on how good everything was. Thank you once again to the owners and the staff of Village Inn Chicken for making my dad’s 90th birthday a day we will always remember! Jeanette McKnight

The service was fantastic, quick friendy apologetic. The bad. The fish it was terrible. Tasted like frozen fish. Not edible at all. Over cooked not flakey. The fries cold. The hushpuppys burnt outside and doughy inside. Definitely so many better options for great fish out there. This is definitely not it. Very disappointing.

Met the owner Dan when we walked in 1st very friendly great guy ,he made sure we tried everything then our meals came out WOW ! Excellent food Excellent family atmosphere, service was excellent Kourtney then to top it off free ice cream (soft serve)my favorite. We will definitely be stopping alot from trips back and forth from Columbus to Youngstown! Give it a try you will not be disappointed

Great chicken absolutely ruined by horrible service. I wish I was exaggerating, but 15 minutes to come get our drink order after sitting down, and another ~60+ minutes for a few orders of fish + a burger (server didn’t stop by 1 single time in that hour span).
I understand being busy and possibly short staffed, but 2 large tables that got seated after us ate their entire meals and were leaving by the time we received our food. I shouldn’t need to go walk up to the host stand twice to ask for water/pop refills and the check.
