Passing through and stopped here for breakfast after last visiting possibly 30 years ago. Glad to know that it is as comforting as I remember, and more upscale than I gave it credit. The staff members were all polite and friendly. Every dish we tried was the perfect temperature, arrived quickly, and delicious. The bacon was absolutely remarkable, perfect crispiness without being dry or burnt and a savoriness that made my taste buds dance for joy!
For those who don’t know the Village Inn chain, it is like an amalgamation of Denny’s, Perkins, and IHOP. For me, it also has all the fond memories one often has for Waffle House but with only “You had to be there” stories rather than the “Did that really just happen?!” stories.

To start with the wait staff all are very professional and take there waiting on customers. Seriously trying to give you customer be best overall experience at dining out. The kitchen does a great job at getting the food to you quickly and prepared the way you want it. And if for some reason your steak or whatever is not done the way you want it, they are more than glad to redo it.

The restaurant has great potential, but my experience was mixed. The food itself was good, with fresh ingredients and appealing presentation, but some dishes lacked the strong flavors I expected. The service was friendly, but the staff seemed overwhelmed at times, which resulted in slower service. The atmosphere was nice and the space was clean, but it felt a bit noisy during the peak hours. With some improvements in service organization and flavor consistency, this restaurant could offer a truly remarkable dining experience. I’m open to giving it another try in the future.

I hadn’t eaten at a village Inn since 2012. I got burned out going there it was the closest restaurant to the hospital my mom was in. So we ate there for over a week and the one we went to the food was not good. I said I would never eat at a Village Inn again. We had friends who wanted to get together at the Village Inn in Hutchinson Kansas. I agreed I am so glad I did. Food was so good the atmosphere was a nice quiet place for a place to meet up with friends and talk. The price was fair as well. I know I’ll be going back again. My only complaint was there was what looked like chocolate on the side of my breakfast plate I had strawberry pancakes. I am hoping it was chocolate and nothing else lol

Breakfast with a friend. Husband had french toast with sausage. Friend has french toast with bacon. The french toast was light and tasty. Sausage and bacon cooked perfectly. I had sausage and egg crepes which were actually like two small omelettes with hash browns. Hot, fresh coffee. The waitress was friendly and helpful, very good.

The food was good, the atmosphere was fine, but the service? That was exemplary! To say they went above and beyond is a HUGE understatement. Following a funeral, nearly 30 family members defended on them right at lunch time! They not only accomodated us, they got every order and every ticket right, served us very quickly, and treated each and every one of us to pie on the house. We were a large group and we were served as if we were a table of four!!! They made a difficult day much better with their kindness and compassion!

The food was mediocre. Staff was friendly.
I got the chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak and the mashed potatoes were pretty good. Nothing special. My stuffing was kindof cold and the biscuit was pretty mediocre. My mom got a burger with fries. The fires ended up being too cold. My uncle got the turkey and said it was mediocre. Not a lot of flavor, but too salty. He was also really uncomfortable in the hard seats.

Village Inn is a Midwest staple, with a Denny’s vibe, but the best Pie in America, you’ll enjoy traditional and tasty southern and Midwest eats like Chicken Fried Steak, Pot Roast, Slow Roasted Turkey and all day breakfast. Service was good, food was nostalgic and tasty. Definitely stop by if you never been, grab dinner and a pie.

Food was good. I had it delivered to my work and there were no utensils included, which was very inconvenient. Otherwise it was fine.
