I had a great breakfast at Village Inn in St. Augustine, and it all started with my waitress, Ashley. She was friendly, patient and paid close attention to every detail of my order. It’s rare to have someone get a custom order exactly right, but she did it without missing a thing.

The kitchen did an amazing job too. My eggs came out over‑medium, just the way I asked, and the bacon was perfectly crispy, not too soft, not burnt, just right. The sourdough toast was warm and tasty, and the Concord Grape jelly added the perfect touch of sweetness.

The breakfast bowl potatoes were cooked perfectly, the grilled onions added great flavor, and the shredded cheese melted into everything in the best way. Every bite felt fresh and well‑made.

Village Inn really impressed me with both the service and the food. Ashley and the kitchen team made this a breakfast worth coming back for.

We ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with Eggs off the classic breakfast menu. It had two biscuits with a piece of sausage inside and topped with white gravy. It was really good. It came with eggs any style and hash browns. The eggs were good, but the hash browns were dry and overcooked. The best part of the meal was the slice of pie. Evidently they give you a free piece of fruit pie on Wednesdays. If you prefer any of the other pie options they are only $0.99 cents more.

The person who greeted us as we entered and seated us at our table was very friendly. Our waitress was brusque and hurried. The restaurant might have been understaffed, I’m not sure but no reason to be so abrupt. Anyway! The food was delicious. The prices are fair and the pies looked so good!
I’m really torn about leaving a fairly low score for this restaurant But after we were seated in our booth, we noticed wallpaper that was bubbled up and pulling off the wall. It looked like there was some black dirt/mold underneath and then looking around you could see unrepaired areas inside the restaurant. Masking tape was placed in a few areas to cover up something along the wall. It looked like there might have been water damage at one time. Things that could have been repaired but weren’t. So if you’re willing to accept some imperfections on the interior, the food was really good and it’s worth a visit.

No wait when we arrived. Ok breakfast. The chicken fried steak was from Sysco or the like. Was greasy. And, the gravy was not homemade either, hash browns were ok as well as eggs. Ham steak breakfast was huge. Lots of fat on ham though. Server was older lady and seemed to be only one working and restaurant was very busy and she was working very hard. Hostess at front was young girl who wasn’t doing much but writing names on waitlist. Hard to see the older woman taking care of entire restaurant and also cleaning the tables! Get her some help!

Was met by beautiful young lady named Macy… She took our names and seated us after a short wait. I can’t remember the server but she was awesome! Had the ultimate breakfast and Wife had the Counrty music omelet… Food was great. Well cooked and a very good portion. We were there on pie Wednesday… prices are good too… I really enjoyed breakfast here.

Stopped for dinner before the trolley ride. I had the crepes and loved them! Friends had tomato soup and ruebens, also french toast and they gave them all a thumbs up. Price a bit high for these meals, but I’m new to FL so it could be that. No complaints about the atmosphere, was not expecting anything special. Waitress was nice enough, she was working hard. Pleasant cashier. I would stop there again.

Food was good. I could have given a better score. I asked for cheese on my eggs. They did not she came with cheese in a bowl and asked do I want it melted. Normally I would have snapped. The waitress was to nice. I believe her name is Lisa. So I didn’t. I’m a chef so I think I expect my food to be perfect

Everyone was super nice. I wish I wasn’t bad at names to remember our servers name. Such a cozy , comfortable place to get a yummy bite to eat. We loved the pie , my mom took a whole one home too.

Everything was amazing! Our waitress was one of the best we’ve ever had-super cheerful (loved her A Christmas Story shirt!) and extremely attentive. The food was great, too. I had the veggie omelette and it was yummy. Thank you for being open and so kind on Christmas Day. It was a great experience all around.

Food was good but the wait was LONG. Food arrived cold but still edible. Gravy on the meat and potatoes was congealed. This place needs to hire a couple of busboys as the waitstaff is already overwhelmed with keeping the tables cleaned. They also need a hostess to check people in and seat them. We arrived at 12 noon and finally was seated and served our food at 1:00. Our waitress was so overwhelmed that she had to sit in our booth while she took our order.
