Server was busy but accommodated us and gave great service. The interior was clean and everything we ordered was delicious, especially the salad (HUGE PORTION).

This place was fantastic. I ordered the veal parm, and it was crunchy, cheesy, and delicious. The portion size was large, and they make their own lemonade fresh. Our server was super kind, quick, and very cheerful. You can definitely tell it’s a hometown family spot, because so many regulars came in, and were greeted by name. We’ll definitely be back!

I feel like I have a very good handle on the Detroit/Surrounding Areas diner scene and I would recommend Village Grill.
I’m an omelette guy, and the omelettes here are fantastic. They are both huge and well organized.
I also like that their omelette selection has all the classics, but there are also options that go beyond the standard fare. Like I love their Bleu omelette, and I’m not sure I’ve seen anything similar to it at other diners.
Also, the hash browns are fantastic and they give you a huge portion of them with your order. I loved the food!
What sets Village Grill apart though is their set up and service.
I absolutely hate diners where everyone is stacked on top of each other or spots where you have no table space. I like nice, big comfortable booths with ample privacy.
Village Grill is awesome about this. Huge booths and if you’re trying to get work done, it’s an absolutely prime location.
Finally, their service is incredible. Absolutely awesome waitresses, coffee filled until your hearts content, and your food comes out quick. Couldn’t ask for anything more

Please use real maple syrup and higher quality jelly. For this review, it’s all about the condiments. Considering the high prices of the food, which is great by the way, the condiments are sub par. You can afford real maple syrup for your tables instead of log cabin corn sugar fake syrup, and high fructose jelly.

This place is AWESOME!! The service was quick, the wait staff was kind, and the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet. Lots of space, bathroom was incredibly clean, and the food is SO GOOD!! I cannot wait to go back, as this is now my fave diner that’s close to home! I absolutely love it here!

What I wanted for breakfast was all the carbs, which are not good for me (diabetic), so I decided to get a healthy (for me) breakfast from Village Grill. I got a mushroom and cheese omelette with sausage patties and fresh strawberries*.
*The first time I ordered this meal was in the restaurant. After explaining that I didn’t want hashbrowns or toast, the waitress asked me if I was low-carb. When I told her, yes, she said that I could have the option of the fresh fruit, but only with strawberries if I wanted, which she seemed to be aware where the lowest carb fruit option. Since then, I have ordered this meal, the exact same way, and they have always been kind enough to accommodate my dietary needs.
10/10 for quality and service!

The people working here were great, not a complaint there. I went in with my 2 year old daughter. We spilt a country boy breakfast, got a coffee and a milk. Ridiculous that before tip we spent 25 dollars, with tip it was over 30 dollars to eat one breakfast plate. Crazy. I’m sorry but I cant justify coming back at that type of cost for one meal.
