Village Chophouse

  4.9 – 25 reviews   • Restaurant

The typical American Steakhouse is dominated by a schedule, and guests expect food to be rushed to their table and eaten quickly. Here at Village Chophouse, we take a more relaxed approach. Plan for up to two hours, enoying a sit-down dinner where you can truly connect to those closest to you. Our organic menu offers exquisite cuts of beef sourced from small farms in the United States such as Aspen Ridge, Snake River Farms, Cascade Creek and Niman Ranch. We also serve premium seafood and offer nightly specials. In addition to our regular menu our Chef creates a four-course tasting menu that changes monthly. All of this is complemented by an extensive wine list along with a seasonal Cocktail and beer menu.

Walked in without a reservation and they were quite welcoming. The team were very friendly and the food was very good. I had the Bouillabaisse which was delicious and my husband had the filet. Will definitely recommend to those traveling to the area.

The best crab cakes we ever had, coupled with wagyu pot roast that melted in your mouth, and perfectly prepared tender scallops.. Sauces were layered with flavor and delicious. And everyone there was so very nice and attentive. What a great place! We will be back

Mario is a great waiter. I was surprised how great this place was while still being able to get a same day reservation. Anna & I loved every course of the meal. Crab cakes were amazing, the 20 oz dry aged steak was the best I have had in a while. Even desert was great. Small dining room with open area kitchen and bar.

My husband and I agreed that this was one of the best meals we have had in years. I had the scallops, which were sublime. I have never had to cut my scallops in so many pieces, they were so huge! I was over the top satisfied. Hubby had the wagyu beef pot roast, which could not have been more tender and flavorful. We also had an appetizer of clams and mussels in broth, which were good, but we would try something else next time. The raw and cooked seafood appetizers are very intriguing. The weekly specials sound wonderful, so we plan to go often. All in all, this was probably the best meal we have had in the entire Sedona area.

We live in Flagstaff and come down to Sedona/ the Village area a few times a month. Saw a new restaurant while perusing availability on Open Table and decided to check it out. We’re so glad we did; this will be a new favorite in the area. Tried the crab stuffed lobster tail and the dry aged ribeye. The steak was hands down the best steak we’ve had anywhere in Northern AZ—you’d have to drive down to Scottsdale to find an equivalent. The lobster was superb as well. Cocktails were balanced and creative, and they have a great wine selection too. Even though we aren’t huge dessert fans, we decided to try the bananas foster and it was the perfect end to our experience. Both our waiter and the chef were very kind and a pleasure to speak to. We can’t wait to try it again and bring friends for a special occasion!

We ate here 2x during our recent trip to Sedona due to the crazy traffic near downtown and we were not disappointed. The Pork Chops were delicious but their crab cakes are WORLD CLASS. Have them as an appetizer or an entry but don’t miss them! This place is worth a trip from wherever you are staying in Sedona.

Wonderful place to eat! We had the best meal here tonight. Johnny was so nice to come out table to talk to us and to hold the door open for us as we were leaving. Mario, ‘Super Mario’ was our waiter for tonight and he did an outstanding job. Thank you for your patience and making our meal an amazing night out.

Service was wonderful, but my husband and I both ordered the 20 ounce ribeye. Sadly the steak not only came out pre cut into MASSIVE chunks but it also came out grey and burnt on the ends, like he precut my steak and threw it onto the flattop when it wasn’t the temperature we ordered (medium). Steak was lacking seasoning and covered in huge chunks of rosemary. $150 dollars on steaks that were inedible. A place that serves high end steak should not have a plastic menu.

Excellent. The new best in Sedona. Anniversary for us and it was special. The crab cake was the best we have ever had, the wedge salad great. My wife had pork chop with parmesan mashed potatoes, “best ever!” I savored the salmon with potatoes and great bok choy. Topped off with banana foster. We have been in Sedona more than 30 years, this will be our best among the very best dining experiences. Welcome to Sedona, we will return.
