The Village Bakery has such a light, laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy being there. It’s cozy, welcoming, and never feels rushed. The food is genuinely really good—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The staff is always friendly and kind, which makes the experience even better. And the coffee? Easily some of the best in town. Smooth, well-made, and consistently great. This is one of those places you keep coming back to because it just feels right every time.

Wow! This place is amazing! Stopped in while visiting from OR. We got 2 breakfast sandwich, a BYO sourdough, cheddar, ham, egg and a Ruby. The bread was soft and flavorful. They also stuffed them to the brim. For drinks we got the French toast latte and the Berry hibiscus cooler. The drinks were really good, a little sweet but we enjoyed that! We payed about $35 which seems normal to us. Staff seemed fine, not overly friendly but were efficient. All in all this place is worth every penny and we will try to stop in again before we leave. Thank you!

Got the toast flight at Village Bakery with the strawberry raspberry jam and it was really good. The bread was thick, toasted well, and super fresh. The jam had a great flavor, not too sweet, and went perfectly with it.
The vibe there is honestly one of the best parts. It’s spacious, lots of seating, and easy to hang out for a while without feeling rushed.

Good location, atmosphere and selection. Expect to pay a premium for your food items. My simple take-out sandwich was just under $13.

Self-love and self-care are truly important. Sometimes you have to treat yourself, especially when people don’t always recognize your efficiency or effort.
Almond croissant?
Am I addicted to you?
Absolutely—if I were in my teens.
At this age? I know my limits
One croissant is roughly 420 calories, so yes, self-control matters.
I won’t say I’m grateful to the person who introduced this place… but anyway, thank you, Village Café
must-try spot—especially if you’re a coffee lover like me.
Perfect place to sit, sip, and chi-chat…
only if your hands know when to stop reaching for another bite.

Lots of seating, free wifi and restrooms, and the lavender oat milk latte was good. Didn’t try their food but there’s a wide selection.

I stopped by The Village Bakery & Café and ordered The Evelyn with a coffee, absolutely delicious! The sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. The coffee was smooth and well-brewed, just what I needed. Service was friendly and efficient, and the cozy atmosphere made it a great place to relax for a bit. Prices are super reasonable for the quality. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!

Food is not the best. Soups all taste flat and mostly bland. Seasoning is on salt, pepper and shriacha status. The bake goods taste just okay. The gaint cinnamon roll is MID. Would not recommend if you’re a cinnamon enthusiast. The Almond crossiant is amazing. Fravorite thing in the entire place. Sometimes, they get the soups right, mainly lentil. But its no where near Trader Joe’s or Wegmans lentil soup. The oatmeal cake cookie thing is very worng. Too much filling that just taste like cream frosting. It’s excessive. The teas are not great either for the price point.
The service there is wonderful. Employees are very pleasant ☺️
This is mainly for all Village bakery, they need to display some of the ingredients in their foods, for example, their soups. The people seem thrown off, when you ask for the ingredients.

I’ve visited the location at Eastview Mall and Pittsford several times, and I am pleased with both. Today was my first visit at Culver, and I was sadly disappointed. My to go order consisted of two build your own breakfast sandwiches and one large vanilla latte, which I typically order. Why was the bill over $29? If each sandwich “starts at $6.75”, and I selected one item from each category, as posted on the menu, the drink was less than $6, no special requests, my order should not exceed $21 before tax. I paid over $33 after tip. When I asked for a receipt, I was given a duplicate copy without the breakdown of my order. On top of this, my to go order took over 20 minutes aside from the latte. Six customers placed their order after me…all of them received their orders before me. There were online orders, dine in and to go orders. I stood there and watched in complete disbelief. The employee who was calling out the customer ‘s name and packing the orders noticed the delay from the screen. She told the kitchen it’s been 14 minutes since my order was placed. When it was my turn, she apologized for the wait, and for that I gave her a star. The drink was good, another star, and one of the sandwiches, on sourdough bread, was a decent amount, so a star for that. The other sandwich, on a croissant, was a bit oily from the pesto and it leaked through the bag. I’m very hesitant to try this location again…

The search for vegetarian food in a town like Rochester is usually frustrating. Being an Indian vegetarian it’s hard to find something you like.
The Village bakery exceeds such expectations with fresh farm to table taste. This is one of the only restaurants I’ve gone to more than once. And I’d go there again.
