Villa Nigrelli Hopewell Junction (saw mill pkwy) quaint local italian eatery, the restaurant was very cold,need to turn up heat in winter. Ordered manicotti very delicious but portions was small. Sausage was delicious as side order,but meatball was a total miss tonight too much dry breadcrumb mix,should use bread ,milk etc simple recipe, the meat was too rubbery in texture and you tasted the dry stale old breadcrumb. Di ablo seafood linguine was delicious, well balanced amount of seasoning. Some items are a miss,most items homemade quality, other is a miss. If your in the neighborhood give villa Nigella a try.your palette won’t disappoint.

Food and service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back. I had the most tender calamari in my life. Tripe was great. It’s my new favorite restaurant.

Went back for the Calabrian Calamari and it did not disappoint. Absolutely fabulous!

Went to our favorite Italian restaurant, Villa Negrelli. Started with Pinot Grigio wine for my wife and a Jack Daniel’s Manhattan for me. Very nice. We had a small plate of the special appetizer, it was like a Lasagna sheet cut into strips with a very light tomato base and very cheesy with roasted Eggplant in it. Very delicious. We then had two dozen clams on the half shell, and I devoured most of them. They then gave us the salads that are included with the meals as is the olives in extra virgin olive oil plus bread
She had the Rib Eye steak medium rare char grilled, and it was done perfectly. I had the Pork Chops with hot peppers, both chops were over and inch thick and done perfectly also. For dessert, we had the Tartufo ice cream, and there was plenty to enjoy. Our waiter, Ryan, did an exceptional job with checking on us frequently and making sure the food came out at the proper time. Joey did a fantastic job also pouring and making the Manhattan. Cudo’s to everyone at Villa Negrelli and a special Thank You to Chef Diego and Chef John.

A high class restaurant , not very big , but the food was awesome , , everything is he made right there even the pasta you can taste the texture and flavor. And they give you a good size dish , I had the chicken Frances , so so good. And their desserts are really good. Well worth the night out. , the service was top knoch , fast ,, very helpful, the waiters were right there when you needed something. 5** for me

This happens to be a place I often pass on the taconic state parkway. What a lovely place it turned out to be. Do make reservations as the place packs quickly. I sat at the bar where Anthony was out bartender and server. Great service and friendly atmosphere. The muscles were excellent. Even the mozzarella sticks were far above my expectations. I’ll absolutely be back.

The food is always delicious and the portions are huge! My only concern tonight was the waiters using foul language ( amongst themselves but loud enough that we could hear since it was very quiet in there when we went ) very unprofessional. . Then an elderly gentleman came in and requested a table for one not near the bar but the waiter told him the one table at the far end in the corner was for two people . It was early like 5:00 and almost nobody in there . What would’ve been the harm in placing him at that table ? He would’ve been done eating probably before it got too busy and he at least would have had some dignity instead of being sat behind the host station . That’s just poor taste in my opinion . Just thought it should be brought up for the future . Treat customers with respect and they will return .

It’s not a very big restaurant, but it has charm; a very vibrant atmosphere. This is not a likely place to see a restaurant as for location. The fact is that it is full at 4p.m. on cold rainy Saturday, speaks volumes. And now I am going to RAVE about the food. Starting with appetizers- Hot antipasto. You can taste every herb and savor on the signature flavor right into the homemade stuffed clams,stuffed , stuffed pepper, eggplant rollatini, and shrimp. I have posted pictures of all. I ordered stuffed mushrooms, and my recommendation- if you don’t order these handmade, perfectly cooked, flavorful mushrooms in a wine sauce like I’ve never tasted in my experience, you will have missed out on thee best sauce ever tasted. I could drink it by the gallon and put it on anything. Yes! That delicious. The main dishes come with salad, which was fresh and equally delicious with their house balsamic dressing. The veal and shrimp marsala was amazing, with the choice of side we went with broccoli garlic and oil. Perfect texture and flavoring, not any heavy taste of oil. The veal and shrimp francese was a little much with the lemon. Desert was delicious, lemon? But show the picture, and they will know. This brings me to what made such an experience with fine food, so I have to give our waiter, Andrew, much praise for his recommendations and nature in being attentive in knowing when we needed assistance and checking in to make sure we were satisfied. With that, my review is a finely quality restaurant with food and staffing, making it a place we will sure to go to again. For you viewers, it is a must do to experience at least once.
