When we decided on Italian food for dinner, the immediate choice was Villa Castrioti, Cordova as it was as close to our place.
The ambience was great with a tastefully done brick oven! The live Bread. Pizza making was going in full swing. For a change we decided not to have Pizzas, instead wanted to try exotic vegetarian delicacies!
We ordered Garlic Bread, Gnocchi and Crispy Artichoke Hearts! They were awesome – alongside having a glass of Red Wine felt heavenly!
We tried the following for main course;
Baked Ziti,
Fettuccine Alfredo with Mushrooms,
Pasta Primavera with Veggies and
Cheese Ravioli with Garlic Oil sauce paired with Asparagus! Everything was tasting great and portions were pretty huge. Though 4 of us were with good appetite, we had to pack a small portion of Fettuccine AM to home.
The occasion was to celebrate our Anniversary, so children carried a cake! The crew members were so friendly and caring. They organised the cake with their wishes on the plate – really appreciate it!
Looking forward to our next visit!

Food was 10/10 lobster newburg was amazing highly recommend. Service was 7/5 stars. Tim was our server he’s the GOAT I will be asking for him specifically when I return. Atmosphere was super cool it felt like I was in the sopranos. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to.

This was one of the best meals I’ve had since becoming a frequent visitor to Memphis. It was a lovely place for a date night, with just the right amount of ambiance to give it a traditional Italian restaurant feel. We had a hard time choosing which entrees looked the best, but I can assure you the shrimp and mushroom fettuccine will not disappoint! Not pictured: the Fried Mozzarella, because I wasn’t fast enough to take one, but it’s amazing, as well as gigantic!

The only positive review about the food that we got was that the chicken parmesan was really good. However, I tried the lasagna and it was extremely salty. Another guest had the salmon and it was very dry. When we asked for butter sauce they brought out a serving of oil. The asparagus was just basic. Also, my mother got the soup and salad. This salad looked like a simple head of lettuce with a couple of small tomatoes sliced on top very basic. The soup she got was very tasteless. All three of us got a dessert, a regular cheesecake, a chocolate cheesecake, and then I got the cannoli dipped in chocolate. All three desserts tasted a day old and mine tastes slightly freezer burned. I will never go back there again! We had reservations to spend my sister’s birthday there but I’m calling tonight and canceling it.

I’ve been here once before with friends, and our experience this time was just as wonderful as our first. Service was exceptional and I really appreciated not wanting for anything while also having our server not hovering over us. He was very attentive while also not always around. When he was around, he was very pleasant. Our appetizers were the fried cheese ravioli, the roasted salmon, and the shrimp cocktail. The fried cheese ravioli is terrific, and the smoked salmon could easily be its own meal, and not to be shared with a single soul – it’s that good. It is stop-for-a-moment-of-silence, savor it good.
Then, you get the pizza, topped with pepperoni, peppers, and sausage. Can’t ever go wrong there! Their pizza has a thin and crispy crust that crunches with every bite, and their ingredients are so fresh to give the best flavor. I seriously feel you can order anything off of their menu and leave happy. I should have tried my friend’s veal tonight, he was in heaven. This place is a favorite of mine and I haven’t been this thrilled to be so stuffed in quite a while.

A friend suggested we have dinner at Villa Castrioti. It was our first visit and a delightful experience. Very professional and courteous waiter, really good food, and nicely appointed. It could easily have been in an upscale Midtown neighborhood. Recommended. Give it a try.

I love the ambience of Villa Castrioti in Cordova. My husband and I usually sit in the same booth on the right side of the restaurant but today we opted for a booth on the bar side. Loved the change in seating. Bar area it self seats about 16 or more. Several TVs for watching sports. The service by Wally was top notch. He knew the nightly specials which were plentiful. We started with a calamari appetizer served with 2 delicious sauces. I typically get a pasta dish but opted for one of the specials, halibut with a delicious caper sauce and side of sautéed spinch. The halibut was truly the best I’ve ever eaten. My husband who doesn’t care for fish tried a bite and was very impressed. My husband had the veal scallopini castrioti with a side of linguini. Also very good. This is a place that never disappoints! Great for groups and dates!
Another meal I tried during a recent visit was a special, grilled salmon cooked to order with a caper sauce. Melts in your mouth! The fried artichoke with a dill sauce was amazing. My husband had the veal chop. Cooked perfectly, tender!
