It’s a Sunday early afternoon. The parking lot was packed. We found a spot to park. We didn’t have to wait after we arrived inside! Our host asked if we preferred a booth or a table. Nice! We were seated promptly. Our server was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered their bacon cheeseburger with fries. I asked if the Gyros meat was shaved from the skewer. She said it was not. She said that almost all of their food is prepared inhouse but the Gyros meat was not. I decided to try it anyway. They serve Pepsi products! Our meals came out after a short wait. My wife’s meal included a side of lemon rice soup that she didn’t want. Our server gave me my wife’s lemon rice soup in addition to the one I received in a bowl! Fantastic! The food was good. My Gyros sandwich was good. My wife loved her bacon cheeseburger and fries. Our server even said their burgers are good but they are not “gourmet” burgers and that their Gyros are good but not “King Gyros” good. Such honesty! My wife and I will be coming back! We will try their breakfast menu! This might well be our go-to spot! Oh, their huge food portions to the price point is fantastic. Probably the best in the Valparaiso area.

Every time we visit this place is packed! However, we’ve never waited longer than about 5 minutes for a table and the food, service and staff are so sweet and awesome. If you love the home cooked vibe, this is the place to visit.

Service was good, the food was sub par at best. Macaroni and beef soup was ok but lacked flavor. The beef is tiny pieces of sliced meat like you get at the deli. I got chicken strips, they are highly processed and spongy. The BBQ is not great, the ranch is thin and not great and the onion rings were decent. Place looked clean. The coffee smelled like burnt plastic so I didn’t try it.

Came in for the first time in a long while, and was not disappointed. The omlette was huge and the hashbrowns were the best hashbrowns I’ve ever had- definitely worth getting up so much earlier than normal just to come here. My fiancée loved the biscuit and pancakes too. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we always had water. Overall a great experience!

Iv been wanting to try eating here for awhile now. I finally had a chance and I’m not disappointed. Everything was so fresh and SO delicious. The onion rings was our appetizer and they tasted homemade. I had a Viking chili bowl and I think that’s some of the best chili Iv had in quite some time. I also had the Viking burger( don’t remember the full name) and woah was that so delicious. Tastes so fresh and juicy Aslong with some fries as the side. The fries were also very good. The waitresses were so nice and helpful with the menu and recommendations. I highly recommend coming here to try it out if you haven’t tried the chance.
