It was a particularly cold winter night and the hankering for warm pho soup hit us when we were near Bloor and St. George. We followed Google’s recommendation and went to Vietnam Lovely Noodle. And we were glad that we made that decision.
The special pho tasted great, and the soup was very authentic. The laksa noodle had such a savoury curry base, it was flavourful and tangy. The fried springrolls had such a unique taste, they were thoroughly enjoyable. The surprise dish was the stir fried broccoli with garlic. The garlic bits were properly charred and aromatic.
What a wonderful local gem!

We got here just as they opened for an early lunch (11 a m.) it was a treat to be welcomed, seated, and have our order quickly taken by the friendly owner! Since we had just been walking thru the Annex, we came in with frozen faces and we hoped for the comfort of some good pho. I ordered for us, two generous bowls of the build-your-own Pho soup. I chose chicken and shrimp with pho noodles and extra mixed vegetables. I was nurtured and warmed by the delicious taste. Before the meal, we were given the shrimp chips but the wait wasn’t long and the soup arrived. I surprisingly finished my bowl within 20 mins and it was large(!). I added the bean sprouts and fresh basil that was offered on the side and the taste was savory. When we got there, we were the only ones there so it was peaceful, quiet, and we got undivided attention. It didn’t take long when a couple of other tables filled up and someone came in to order take-away. The only drawback was the music choice after about a half hour in — gangster rap– which quashed the peaceful vibe I was feeling (I’ll watch the news if I want to hear about the stuff in those songs, you know what I’m saying?)
I have been to Vietnam Lovely Noodle before about 7 months ago, and it doesn’t disappoint! Overall, the food was great. Service was impeccable. The price is so reasonable (the total with tax came out to $38!) (The music choice made the vibe less appealing but that can change, of course)
And we’ll definitely be back for more of your Lovely Noodles!

– Thai deep fried spicy chicken: Overly dry and over-spiced, which masked the chicken’s flavour and stood out as the lone disappointment.
Service was efficient and friendly without being intrusive. Noise level was moderate and suited the vibe.
Portions were generous and prices reasonable for Toronto. Most dishes offered clear value, making this a dependable choice for both solo meals and group orders.

This is a little hidden gem in the Annex. The chef here makes everything fresh, and delicious. I had the Laksa curry soup with chicken with two noodles and it was so good. Hot, fresh and full of flavour. If you’re looking for a nice little place for Pho while in the Annex, I would highly recommend this spot. The menu has something for everyone. Don’t let the sign fool you. Cute, friendly and so yummy.

I always forget to take pictures of the food before I eat! But that tells you how good the food was! Great food, great price. We even got complimentary ice cream for paying with cash. It was a good price for two people, $35. It was small, cozy and clean. The seating could be a bit more comfortable. A nice chair instead of stools. Other than that. Great little place. Definitely a good place to go to warm up in the winter if you’re in the Annex .

Food – I have not ordered everything from Vietnam Lovely Noodle but I have ordered the Pho and one of the Curries. They are delicious. The portions are pretty large so you get a pretty good ratio between price and food. And if you cant finish you can always get it to go. When I was a student the curry was my go to meal either getting the rice or roti which was absolutely delicious. Food is also good to share with others.
Service – Service are great they are kind and last time I was there even gave me free croquettes. Additionally, I would usually wait for a takeout order and they always offered me water and tea.
Atmosphere – Atmosphere is good I would not say anything stands out I mean that in the best way. It can get busy but if you avoid peak hours you can catch the restaurant with not too much traffic.
Overall – Good food, good price, kind staff.

Was passing by looking for something to eat at a reasonable price and came across here. I was greeted very politely and had my order taken and food served quickly. I ordered the (Small Sized) House Special Noodle Soup. The size was very filling and the broth was very delicious.

There are many pho places but this is the only place I know that has laksa noodle soup!!! Had it many times……! I’ve been coming to this place for the past five years.
