This Louisville stronghold of a Vietnamese restaurant has remained consistently good, using quality ingredients, in the over twelve years that I have had the opportunity to frequent it. If you are new to town, or just passing through, don’t miss your chance to have a delicious meal here. If you’re local and have never been, I’d only have to ask why not, yet?

Great place and great food. Enjoyed pha(sorry for misspell), beef and tenderloin myself. Great parking place, and sitting arrangement for family also.

I had a great time trying this restaurant. This was my first time trying Vietnamese Food and I was absolutely not disappointed. The negative reviews must have been by someone who has a vendetta or someone who does not appreciate cuisine other than American. Service was amazing, prices were ok but not bad at all, my friend and I had a great lunch date and will be back.
I throughly enjoyed the yellow chicken curry, though I do wish it was Spicier, nothing the ground pepper and Sriracha sauce didn’t fix.
The pineapple smoothie with booba is beyond refreshing.

I really should have known better walking into a Vietnamese restaurant at 8:00 p.m. and there was no Vietnamese people sitting around eating. I walked in without looking at the menu and ordered a banh xeo.

I get home to eat, There was only one piece of lettuce. None of the other vegetables to go with it. They threw some cucumbers in which obviously should not go with it. No cilantro, no la-lop, no mint, and I understand that there’s no River leaves. I have never seen anyone ever use dehydrated shrimp in a banh xeo.

You know maybe the place rubbed me wrong when I spent $20 for it. But if you’re going to charge that kind of price you should at least try to make authentic. Just because I’m white doesn’t mean I don’t know the food.

A Hidden Gem in Louisville – Absolutely Delicious!

This was our first time at Vietnam Kitchen, and it exceeded every expectation! We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids, and everyone left full, happy, and talking about coming back.

The food was incredible — fresh, flavorful, and authentic. We started with the fresh spring rolls and dumplings, both of which were perfect starters. For mains, we shared a variety including the Pho Ga (chicken pho) which had the most comforting, aromatic broth, the spicy curry, and stir-fried chicken with green beans — every dish was perfectly seasoned and beautifully cooked. Even the kids devoured their meals, and the portions were generous.

The service was warm, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. They were kind and accommodating to our kids, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Vietnam Kitchen is a true gem. It’s cozy, authentic, and every dish feels made with love. Highly recommend for families, foodies, or anyone who appreciates amazing Vietnamese cuisine. We’ll definitely be back!

Alright Food Reviews
This place has been around for a long time, and this was my second time eating here. To be honest, I’m not sure why it’s only my second time. The pho is delicious, as I had that before, but this time I went for the Bún thịt nướng chả giò. It’s a soupless noodle dish with pork, egg roll, and vegetables. It was fantastic. The service was fast and friendly. This is a must if you live in the area.

I have been going to the Vietnam kitchen for 20 years. The food is good and the service is spotty at best. I’m not sure what keeps me coming back. I get better Vietnamese food other places I guess it’s because it’s in my neighborhood.

The phonwas good. No complaints. Tasted pretty normal. I would eat again. Didn’t have the wow factor for me but it was on point as solid pho. Im just picky but otherwise this place is great for Louisville.
