Went during lunch and it’s about $25 per person. Overall, the food was okay — nothing really stood out or made me go “wow.” A lot of the dishes I saw or tried were dry or just didn’t look very appealing, but there were a few good ones! When the veggie dishes came out fresh, they actually looked and tasted great — that was probably my favorite part along with the bun rieu + chao long

I wouldn’t say this is full-range Vietnamese cuisine. It’s more of the quick, popular Vietnamese dishes that are easy to make and familiar to people who haven’t tried Vietnamese food before. A lot of the food seems to sit out for a while (at least from appearance), so it doesn’t seem like things get rotated super frequently, which is a bit disappointing.

The sugar cane drink my mom had tasted, in her words, like the glucose drink you get when you’re pregnant (lol). And the yogurt was extremely sweet.

This place isn’t terrible, but it’s also not really worth the money if you’re expecting high-quality or freshly made dishes. It is a good spot if you’re coming with large groups to hang out, eat, drink, and socialize. (They have a bar!) But if you’re a foodie or someone who’s picky about freshness and flavor, you’ll probably want to look elsewhere.
Service was a bit rude & slow but whatever ‍♀️. (Still gave them 18% cash tip though )

Food: AYCE Vietnamese food! There was no lobster…Saturday. That was what I was looking forward to. Disappointed. So I had crab legs. There is no crab. There is a variety of Viet food, but dont expect Chinese variety (lo mein, fried rice, string beans, broccoli). I am so used to getting the Chinese stir fry dishes that I forgot it is a Viet food buffet. However, there is galbi! There is a variety of Viet dessert also. Don’t come if you’re craving typical buffet food. Reminder: no sushi, no Chinese stir-fry, fried rice, lomein, etc.
Come if you are wanting to eat all Viet food. Otherwise you will be disappointed.
It is close to 1 he drive for me. So I would only come back if I absolutely crave a lot of Viet food.

Service: can’t complain. We got what was needed for party of 8. However, the young staff are too loud and playful around us and customers. Yet, they do as expected for buffet. Just a little immature staff or need some etiquette or training.

Atmosphere: looks good from outside, like a buffet in Las Vegas. Clean. Staff was getting food along with us to eat. Seems there is always staff eating somewhere. Don’t bring your date.

Tried Voyage buffet for the first time today and thought it was pretty good. Some people here either had a very unlucky day (then consistency can be improved) or very hard to please!

I’ve tried Kim Sơn many times in Houston and very glad to have another option (long overdue). The foods I could try today had very good seasoning and texture (e.g. the ribs were tender). I can see they try to keep the foods warm with heat and lid, which is great. Please keep this up as people love warm food.

Desserts were good too. I got yogurt, Sugarcane, chè, and chocolate eclaire… They were good (yogurt could be less sweet, but at least it had the tartness which is good).

Staff were attentive and helpful. Hot buns were given out today when they were fresh out of the oven. Customers including myself enjoyed it.

Please keep up the good work (and keep it open please)! Will come back hopefully soon (as I live quite far).

Place is spacious and clean. Staff is very friendly and efficient. For the price of 25$ for a weekday lunch, the dishes selection was above average with a lot of meat dishes and a couple of seafood choices. The star was the fresh off the grill pork slices and the all you can drink sugar cane 🙂 The noodle dishes were hit and miss. bun bo rieu was good while bun bo hue was passable. I would say its not a bad place to go if you want to try vietnamese food and you have a reasonable selection for you to indulge

Went on a week day and the place was not overly busy but still decent cried for a Thursday night. Buffet for adult was $24.99 and included beverages. The ambience was good with medium level of chatter and overhead music. For a buffet the food was pretty decent. My personal favorites were the different soups including beef pho and wonton soups. The grilled Korean style short ribs were good. Carving area had steak but the meat was fairly dry and overcooked. They do make their own sugar drinks. Good variety of food. Please note that some of the dishes may not appeal to everyone not familiar with Vietnamese cuisine. Service was good.

I so wanted to like this place. Having a Viet buffet in DFW has been on my bucket list forever! Let’s start with the good. Everyone was really nice, and the staff was super quick to pick up dirty dishes. The desserts had some standouts such as the fruit chè and fruit tart.

Overall, I would say that the food had decent to good flavor. Unfortunately, the food suffered from either sitting out too long (many of the self serve items – sad cause the chicken wings would have been excellent if it wasn’t soggy), over cooking (lobster, crab, and shrimp were mush, carving station steak was tough, etc), or seasoning (noodle soups that I tried – bbh & bánh canh – were super sweet, braised fish was barely seasoned). My biggest gripe was that it didn’t seem like they knew how to clean their seafood as I got sand in several bites of clam and snail that I just couldn’t finish what I got despite liking the taste.

This was not a $43 per person experience. I can’t see myself returning if the quality remains as is.

This was my first time trying a Vietnamese all-you-can-eat buffet, and I came with high expectations, especially since it was a Sunday lunch and the price was $42.95 per person.
The variety of food was impressive, and they were very generous with the portions. Most importantly, the staff were all incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. Their service was absolutely top-notch and deserves to be highly commended!
Unfortunately, the quality of the food was generally poor. My friends and I tried almost everything, and we all agreed. The crab legs were good but way too salty, some batches were salty and others were devoid of salt, the lobster meat was tough, and the popcorn chicken was so hard it was difficult to chew. The fried rice was dry and flavorless, and the taro dessert tasted like it came from a can and had a strange, sour taste. The only two things we genuinely enjoyed were the clams and the soup from the street food stall.
Different wave of same food were seasoned differently
To summarize, it’s very overpriced for the food quality. The excellent service, however, was a definite highlight.
I also have one suggestion for the restaurant: please don’t seat customers next to the staff’s designated area. Throughout our entire meal, we had people—both adults and children—constantly walking back and forth. It was impossible to have a relaxing meal. Other customers even seemed to mistake the area for the restroom.

It was everything I expected and more! It’s what the Kim Son in Houston used to be with great flavor and tons of authentic dishes. It was crowded when I went so all the food was rotated frequently and the service was great. The soups were really good and the dessert station feels like real desserts, not just buffet items. Very good and would recommend!

Finally a Vietnamese buffet in GP, great overall foods for me. My fav is the bun cha Ha Noi, banh xeo banh beo, snails, bun rieu, chao long and che. Didn’t take more picture as i got hungry lol. If you mind the price then do lunch weekday for $25 u can’t beat for all the items. As we are all aware food cost is increasing even at grocery store so the price is fair and reasonable to me. I’m glad they are making adjustment from the amount of staffing to etc based on the feedback. I can only imagine their overhead and daily fixed expenses. I truly wish they will be successful and stay with us as dfw one and only viet buffet. Diners often don’t realize how much work and struggle small business owners have to go thru. Ppl only think of whatever they like and can be very insensitive. Keep working hard and do what’s right. It will pay off or at least you can said you pursue your dream and tried your best. Be kind and embrace differences. God bless y’all.

After watching her IG post about the story behind the buffet, I felt like I needed to write this review. You can really see how much heart and effort goes into Viet Voyage Buffet, and honestly, the bad reviews just don’t reflect the true experience here — they deserve so much better!

I’ve been here four times now with different family members and friends, and every visit has been consistently good. The staff is always super friendly, attentive, and quick to help, and the restaurant is clean, spacious, and welcoming. It’s a great place for family gatherings or celebrations, with a big variety of dishes for everyone to enjoy — from seafood and hot dishes to fresh fruits and desserts.

And let’s be honest — a bowl of pho and a drink these days can already cost almost $20, so for what you get here, the price is more than fair. You can enjoy all-you-can-eat seafood, crab, lobster,, and so many Vietnamese favorites without feeling rushed or crowded.

Overall, excellent food, great service, and an atmosphere that feels warm and genuine. Totally worth the drive from Rockwall, and I’ll definitely be back again soon!

Everything’s well worth the drive from Bedford. I’ll definitely keep coming back!
