We were in town for a wrestling tournament and was looking to buy some time. We absolutely were blown away with the family owned charm, the hospitality and the food was phenomenal. I had the boy w/ cottage cheese. My daughter had cheese sticks. Very welcoming environment. Highly recommend !

We did come here on Valentine’s day, and it was PACKED. Although we waited about 10 minutes for a seat, that wasn’t unreasonable.
Our server was so sweet and, considering she’s the ONLY server, was reasonably punctual, and refilled our coffee frequently.
Which leads us to why she had to refill our coffee frequently. Despite ordering simple menu items (omelettes, and a 5-inch pancake); it took over 1 1/2 hours to receive our food. Yep…over 90 minutes.
It was a looooong wait. (Bring a book or someone you enjoy talking to).
Once we did receive our food, it was perfect. The flavor was good, it was cooked perfectly and that pancake was dense yet moist. The price of our meal was considerably less than what I expected.
If you are someone who is in a hurry, impatient or does not understand that they have one server and one cook, this may not be the place for you.
However, if you enjoy a good meal, don’t mind waiting a bit, and understand that there are people out there working who have disabilities, you should make time because the drive is worth it.

We waited over an hour to get food that was, at best, ok. Our server was awesome and did her best for what she was given, but she was the only one! The owner needs to get more people in here to work! Kitchen was moving at a snails pace, and people who had ordered after us were done and leaving before we had even gotten our food.
Also, whoever was just standing/sitting at the register twiddling his thumbs needs to get his dog under control. It was barking and nipping at people entering/leaving. Shameful and unsanitary!

You’d be hard pressed to find a better place to eat than this place, nice and layed back with a quiet atmosphere but talking to people is invited , especially the owners Frank and Teresa!
The food was perfectly cooked and flavorsome as it could be. It’ll be our regular stop for a breakfast out, from now on. The cook is a Pro , I mean a lifelong professional.

Unfortunately, on our way to Muskingum university Saturday morning we stopped here to eat. We arrived at 10:32 am knowing it would take an hour twenty to get to Muskingum. This gave us plenty of time since we needed to be there at 1pm. There was a table of 5 already there, 3 ppl at the counter, and the two of us. We sat towards the back away from the door hoping it was cooler as there was no ac in the place that I could tell. A gentleman brought waters and a lovely lady took our order at 10:38am. I ordered 2 chocolate chip pancakes and toast and my husband ordered corn beef hash omelette and potatoes. Between swatting flies and sweating, it was uncomfortable. At 11am when no food had come out to anyone I was getting nervous. At 11:10 I asked the lady if she knew how much longer it might be as we needed to be somewhere. She checked with the kitchen and told us that ours was just now on the grill. By this time 3 other groups have come in including 2 men who sat at the counter. At 11:30 they brought out food to the 2 men at the counter who came in 30 mins after us. They then brought my husband’s food but not mine. I said to the gal I’m sorry we need to be at Muskingum at 1pm so we need all of our food to go, silverware, waters, and the check as it’s now 11:45am. By the time my food was actually ready the men who came in after us were done eating, had paid and left. We left and once we were on the road my husband and I took turns driving so we could eat. Only then did I notice that I had no chocolate chips in my pancakes but they were burnt, entirely too thick, and had no toast. Yet we paid for everything we ordered. Had I read the reviews before we stopped, we wouldn’t have.

Where to start, they had 1 table with 8 people, and me sitting here, took over 20 minutes to get my food, ordered 2 eggs, crispy homefries, crispy bacon, toast. And this is what I got. Burnt bacon, burnt homefries, and eggshells in my toast.

We went for breakfast during the height of the giant pancake boom and the service/food was 10/10. The pancakes were so amazing and so big. The waitress was very personable and it took a while for the pancakes to come out which made sense since there was a lot of people there but it was very much worth the wait.

Great food, nice people, you have to wait a little bit for your food, but that’s OK !. It’s a small family business, you would wait just as long if not longer at bob evens. So go in knowing you are going to wait for your gr eat fresh homemade food to be made on the spot. Put down your phones and actually talk to your family or friends and have a good time.

Troll here from Columbus because it popped up on tick tock I walked in turn around and walk right back out. The atmosphere smoke grease smell or whatever it was was so thick it was choking. I should have realized that by the way the place looked from the outside it I shouldn’t have gone in.
