The food tasted average. It was not bad. The broth of the wonton soup didn’t have the depth of flavour that I am used to at other Pho restaurants but was ok. The peanut sauce was an interesting texture for the shrimp salad rolls. I have never seen sauce like that before. It is quite thick.
The service was friendly but a little bit slow for that style of food.
All in all an average experience. It can work in a late night pinch.
Food was great. They had a buy one get one on spring rolls and the vermicelli with shredded pork and pork balls were great.
Service was ok. A little slower when you sit on the food court side but not terrible. I probably would come back again.
During our first visit, we showed our two airport IDs because we had been informed there was a 10% airport staff discount. However, after showing the IDs, no one informed us that the discount was not applicable. We only found out about this the next evening.
On our second visit, the experience was unfortunately different. When the waitress presented the new menu, we politely asked about the prices and details of some items. With the rising cost of dining these days, it’s normal for customers to want to understand what they are ordering. Unfortunately, the waitress seemed impatient and simply suggested that we order the “old style soup” instead of explaining the new menu options.
The situation became more uncomfortable when we were paying. When we mentioned the airport staff discount (since we had shown our IDs the night before), the staff refused it in a way that felt unnecessarily dismissive. We were not refusing to pay—we simply wanted clarification since we had been there the previous night and had already presented our IDs.
While the food itself was very good, the way this situation was handled by the staff left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. Good customer service includes clear communication and a respectful attitude toward guests.
Sadly, because of this experience, we would think twice before returning
I came to Viet Lounge to pick up an order for Uber/DoorDash and had a very unpleasant experience. There were two female staff members at the front
, but neither of them acknowledged me at all. They walked back and forth past me more than 5 times, clearly seeing me standing there, even after I called out to let them know I was there to pick up an order.
Their attitude felt extremely disrespectful and dismissive, as if I didn’t exist. I ended up standing there for almost 10 minutes being completely ignored. Finally, a male staff member came out with a bag of food, asked for the customer’s name, and handed me the order.
I was shocked and very disappointed by the behavior of the two female employees (one of whom seemed like the owner). This kind of condescending attitude toward delivery drivers is unacceptable.
Please be careful if you are picking up orders here. Respect should be given to everyone. I will not forget this experience.
The service was prompt and friendly. The tables and dishes were clean, and the food arrived within 5 to 6 minutes of ordering.
I got the peanut satay broth noodle soup with all meats except chicken. Note: I personally don’t think this is a traditional Vietnamese style. That said, the broth was excellent! It is rich, balanced with spices, and definitely not watery. It didn’t taste like the typical peanut satay broth you find at other places or the versions where they just add a spoonful of satay chili paste to standard pho broth.
The toppings (beef, tendon, and tripe) were perfectly cut, well-cooked, and clearly good quality. However, the dish lost one star because the noodles were slightly overcooked.
I also ordered the fried chicken wings and they super fresh, perfectly fried, and seasoned just right.
I’ll definitely be back.
Yesterday’s visit to Viet Lounge was very uncomfortable. There were a few waiters that we haven’t seen before (didn’t think much of it) but when one of the waiters took our order, she seemed miserable and talked to us in a very disrespectful manner. She gave us dirty looks and never acknowledged our “thank yous” as well, she made the small requests we asked for look so high demand. Almost thought she’s gonna have a tantrum! Although the food is delicious, it was hard to enjoy our soups due to the negative environment this waiter was causing.
