Can’t believe I have never stopped in here before. The food was perfectly executed. The restaurant was very clean with cool aesthetics. They also offer free Wi-Fi, which was great to be able to get some work done while I waited for my lunch. They also sell coffee and tea. I started with the pork and shrimp wonton crunch outside with piping hot perfectly cooked meat inside. I also I tried the grilled beef sandwich. It was magnificently marinated with super fresh veggies on it with a nice touch of fresh jalapeños on the side.

I have been twice since they opened roughly a month ago. First time was on my own while my wife was out of town, and I ordered the Pork Belly – it was amazing. Today I went back with my wife and we each ordered a Banh Mi – I had pork, and she had chicken. They were both very generous, and quite delicious. The owner is really nice and friendly (the first time I went, the A/C was out, and she went and got a fan to point at my table). These are the same family that owns Pho Viet, also in Forest, and there are a lot of dishes common to both locations, but the specials here at Viet Cafe are out of this world. Also, Diana (daughter of the owners) is an absolute sweetheart.

A solid spot run by a friendly couple. You can warm with their pho, banh mi, and other various Vietnamese dishes. The price is reasonable and it’s a good place for solo diners or large groups.
