I’m from the east coast and don’t get to enjoy quality Mexican food all that often. I found Victor’s Mexican Food through google reviews and I must say that the food absolutely lives up to the hype! I got a shrimp taco, taco Al pastor, carne asada taco and a piña agua fresca and EVERYTHING was absolutely fantastic! I hope to be back in Palm Springs and when I do Victor’s will be on the list of places I must visit!

We just finished eating at Victor’s. What a great experience! Casual atmosphere, spotless. I added fried fish to my taco salad; it was absolutely delicious. My husband had al pastor combo and really liked it. The staff behind the counter were pleasant and very helpful. I would have ordered their homemade flan but will have to go back. I highly recommend Victor’s – Palm Desert location.

Victor’s Mexican Food has quickly become my go-to spot across the street from my office in Palm Desert. There are plenty of food options nearby, but if I want something quick, delicious, and served with genuine kindness, I come here every time.

From the very first visit, the team has been nothing but sweet, polite, and welcoming. They always greet you with a smile whether you’re dining in or picking up to-go, and Victor himself is often cooking and makes a point to wave and say hello. That personal touch really makes you feel at home.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. I’ve tried tortas, burritos, tacos dorados, carne asada fries, and my hands-down favorite is the breakfast burrito! You can truly taste the love and care they put into every dish. As a Mexican, I can say their flavors are authentic and spot-on. A true sign for me is always the beans…if the frijoles aren’t right, nothing else will be. Victor’s nails it every time.

One story that stuck with me: I once got stuck in a meeting and was late picking up my carne asada fries. The chef was so apologetic that they had been sitting for 20 minutes, even though it was my fault for running late. He offered to remake them fresh! That kind of care and pride in what they serve says everything about this place.

Their lunch rush is always busy (I love seeing them thrive, it’s well deserved), and I noticed so many reviews rave about the fish tacos, so that’s next on my list.

If you’re in Palm Desert, do yourself a favor and stop by Victor’s. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

It is often the case that smaller establishments, particularly those located in strip malls, offer the most exceptional cuisine. Fortunately, this restaurant is one such place. I recently enjoyed a chorizo and egg burrito with potatoes for breakfast, accompanied by a side of fries, and found it to be quite satisfying. The ingredients tasted exceptionally fresh, and the balance between the beans, rice, egg, and chorizo was perfectly executed. Even the fries were outstanding; they did not taste like typical frozen fries, which was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, Grubhub provided a 40% discount. Another added benefit is its convenient proximity to my home. If you are seeking an alternative to the usual fast-food options, such as Del Taco, I highly recommend giving Victor’s a try. You will not be disappointed.

Not very many places know how to make Chili Relleno . The batter was perfect, the sauce was amazing and the entree was not greasy. The chips were warmed . The price of A La Carts menu was great. I like the native photography wallpaper. The service was amazing too.

The food here is absolutely fantastic. While you might expect the usual Mexican flavors, this place offers something truly authentic—like a treasured family recipe handed down through generations. Every bite tasted as if it were lovingly prepared by an abuelita who grew up in the kitchen. The atmosphere is unassuming, yet the restaurant remains consistently busy with customers. The seating is comfortable, making it the perfect spot to munch on every delicious bite. With such exceptional flavors and quality, it’s no surprise that I’ve become a loyal regular. My visits are always a pleasant surprise and a happy experience.

We came here for the fish tacos, and they were great, but the carnitas was also fantastic. So succulent! Service was superb. Do not sleep on this place!

Visiting from the Midwest. Starting with the first bite of the freshly made chips, everything was incredible. We even brought young ones and everyone loved it and asked to come back tomorrow!
We tried an assortment of tacos, all with different meats, and none disappointed. Particularly enjoyed the fish tacos. But even the shredded beef hard shell was enjoyable by the 3 year old and the adults who tried the leftover crumbs.

I have read about Victor’s Mexican restaurant in Palm Desert and saw that it was highly rated. So I decided I owed it to myself to check it out. For several months I have been in such a mood for cheese enchiladas so that is exactly what I ordered. I have to tell you that they were the best cheese enchiladas I have ever had! I’m also going to brag on their beans because they were exceptional also. I don’t get this far east normally in my travels as I am more Inland Empire. But I will tell you that I’ll be making a trip out there again next time I go to Palm springs. I know Victor’s is Subway East of Palm Springs but they are definitely worth. Thank you pictures for an amazing lunch. God’s blessings and see you soon!
