I’ve been coming to Vic’s Italian Restaurant for years and it continues to be one of my favorite spot in Raleigh. They have two locations, each with its own vibe. The downtown Raleigh location is great if you want to enjoy the city and walk around afterwards but my go-to is the Lake Boone location mainly because of the parking situation

I always order the penne alla vodka. They don’t offer a lunch special for it but trust me it’s 100% worth paying the dinner price. The flavor is perfect every single time. I also really enjoy their pizza. I get the Chicagoan and it never misses. And the complimentary garlic knots are so warm and flavorful.

The service is good and the food comes out relatively quickly making the overall experience solid. I truly love this place and recommend it to anyone craving great Italian food in Raleigh.

Loved it! The ambiance was so nice and comfortable. Service was also very pleasant. The food was amazing in every dish that we ordered, especially the risotto balls, which were so crispy and savory on the outside and cheesy in the middle. Also loved the piano music in the background, and the pianist was also so lovely and sweet to talk to as well! Will definitely be coming back for future food runs

It’s a sweet Italian spot in a nondescript almost back alley, but I can see why people find it out nevertheless. The whole ambiance is so signature of family run business. The corner piano, the posters on wall, the bumper of an Italian car to the basil growing in outside pots. The outside statue with Italian flag has broken arms and the floor to roof pizza boxes are not a sight to behold but, Bennett makes it up more than asked for by his patience, knowledge and willingness to work with a vegetarian like me, as he said they can somewhat customize your order.

Portions were good, tea not very sweet and sauces creamy. Cheese didn’t taste fresh and pesto really tasty.

The novelty is the postcard and paper clip that comes with your bill and almost endearing is their deli paper or basket liner…the cutest thing I have seen in long time, making me to try my broken Italian by reading from La Gazette ️

If you are a lover of culture and cuisine and have lust for life and living and want to enjoy music and manners… this is a must visit place to see a rushing youngster staff and laughing families and some old world charm.

I had a rough time at Vic’s this past Saturday night, particularly because of my server, Michael B. He was too busy with his phone. The garlic knots were ready, and he just walked away to check his phone. The garlic knots were ready, but he just walked off to look at his phone instead. When he brought our food, he rushed to drop it off and didn’t even ask if we needed anything before heading back to his phone. I wasn’t offered any refills or even asked if I wanted another glass of wine. I know Vic’s has better customer service than what I received on Saturday night.

Phenomenal food, service, and ambience.

We got the truffle special, and the spaghetti and meatballs, as well as the mussel antipasto. Total was $100, but most folks should expect to spend around $80 here.

The food was perfectly portioned, there was a good gluten free pasta for the spaghetti, and the custom drink that Nico made was really good.

Live piano on a Sunday night and the perfect volume level. I didn’t have to yell to speak despite being next to the piano, the kitchen was at a good volume, and it was amazing atmosphere.

Nico made this dinner perfect. He was attentive without being overbearing, communicative, personal, honest, and efficient. No movement was mentioned and the fluidity he had in doing his job was at a Michelin-star level. I hope that he’s doing the training for the rest of the staff, because he is just that good.

We love Vic’s. The food and service is always amazing. Garlic knots are hot and fresh. Homemade ravioli in pistachio pesto was so delicious. Our server Bennett and the live piano made our meal perfect!

Based on the reviews, I thought we were in for a treat. I came here with my dad for ny birthday, and I was so uncomfortable, I couldn’t wait to leave. Our waiter sat us and immediately wanted to know what we wanted. I had to ask about specials but I couldn’t hear him over the piano he sat us next to in the almost empty restaurant. The waiter couldn’t answer basic questions about the menu like what vegetables were in the dish and he forgot my glass of wine. Our garlic knots were stale, and the salad was a joke. I don’t think our waiter ever touched our table after getting our order except to hand the check over. We were taken care of my 3 different waiters who were seeing nearby tables. The ambiance was weird. They were playing modern music but had a tv on playing a kung fu movie then a piano player playing over that campdown races.

Really great Italian! I now saw the largest Calzones I ever saw. Cheese, cheese and more cheese! The Pollo Alla Parmigiana was outstanding as well. This will definitely become one of my favorite go to’s when in the area.

We stopped for a late lunch. The place is very nice. I can imagine what it looks like later in the evening with the lights for outdoor seating. Nic was very helpful with some suggestions. Nic was a very friendly person and love what he does.We enjoyed our meal. I look forward to dining in the restaurant again.

This is a quant little restaurant off of Lake Boone Trial that if you blink, you would miss it. This is a family owed restaurant and their Italian accents gave the whole visit a true delightful Italian experience. The service was great. The food here was very good, however I will not lie, this is not my favorite local Italian restaurant. I would recommend the Mozzarella Caprese and the Garlic knots. The Chicken and Veal Parmigiana were good, but there was nothing special about the sauce. My mom is a huge fan of the Lasagna here, but once again for me, it taste like a basic Lasagna. We had someone order the Linguine Alla Pescatora, the Linguini with clams (needed more sauce), and one other dish that I cant remember ( but I think it had a vodka sauce over spaghetti with shrimp). All the dishes were good, but nothing that wowed us as far as the food goes. They did have a piano player who entertained us the whole meal and at times made it hard to eat because were we singing. I tried to load the video of the piano player, but sadly it wouldn’t load on here
