Unfortunately, this was a very concerning experience. While eating, I found a piece of metal baked directly into the bread (see photo). This is a serious safety issue and could have caused injury.
We immediately stopped eating. I understand mistakes can happen, but something like this raises major concerns about food preparation and quality control. I hope management takes this seriously and reviews their processes to ensure this does not happen again.

Vicky Bakery never disappoints! The pastelitos, desserts, Cafe con Leche and cakes!!! Even in this economy, their quality of ingredients have always remained the best! They don’t skimp with ingredients, your pastelitos always have the perfect amount of filling. I highly recommend. Area is always clean and welcoming.

A random customer yells, “Don’t go there — it’s expensive and the food is terrible.” I thanked him and didn’t plan to visit, but my husband wanted to check it out because the place looks beautiful and very clean. Presentation: 10/10.
This place has a lot of potential and could improve. The young lady didn’t make eye contact with me — she may have had a long day.
We asked if the empanadas were hot or warm, but when we received them they were cold. The price was reasonable: 3 empanadas and one guava pastelito for $12.
I also asked if we could pay to try small portions or samples of the cakes so we could choose a flavor, but she said no.
I’m not comfortable ordering a birthday cake without tasting it first, especially after reading some negative reviews.

First time here, and had to be on Christmas Day.. I appreciate the effort, it was crowded and they still managed to keep serving, and keep everyone happy. My order was ready in minutes, but I had to wait like 10min for the pizza pasteles, something normal these days. The food was great, wasn’t expecting that for the reviews I checked before.. The atmosphere was cool, everything ran smoothly. The place clean, decorated with Christmas ambiance, and the pictures from the old reviews don’t look like the actual place.. so don’t doubt on give them a try.

The worst pan con bistec. It was full of mayo, the steak was undercooked, I will never eat from there again. Ewww

Wanted something special for our eldest relative, in an adult living facility, to share for her Birthday. In from out of town, I noticed Vicky Bakery close to our hotel and thought, maybe cupcakes or something…..Went to the bakery the next morning and explained to the young lady that I needed treats that were not overly sweet; we settled for individual Flans.,After a moment of prep, she presented a beautiful box of Flan with extra touches of decor and perfection that were most appreciated. When a 98 year old, with plenty of Flan experience looks at the spoon and says, “…it’s Good “, you know it was the right choice. Wanted so much to stop back by the bakery after the event to personally thank them but scheduling prevented it . Thanks So Much ,Vicky. Hope to see you near Tampa someday….

I’ve been going to Vicky Bakery since I was a kid. Every time I come to Miami I stop by one of their locations. I was so happy when I found out that this location opened up right around my mother in laws house.
We ordered some pastelitos (not pictured) a croqueta preparada and pan con bistec. As usual the food was delicious and did not disappoint.
The location had a very cozy area where you could sit and enjoy your meal. It was clean and there was plenty of dessert options.
The only reason I gave it a 4 star review instead of a 5 is because the order/pay/pick up set up is a bit confusing and honestly a lot of steps.
You walk in and order, then you are asked to step aside. They call your name at a back counter and you pay and asked to once again step aside and wait until your order is ready. In my opinion it’s to many steps. All other locations I’ve visited you order and pay in the same register, then you step aside and wait for your order to be ready. Not sure why we can’t pay for our order in the first register.
Regardless of this issue, I will continue to visit because the food is worth it. I am hoping they open up locations in Orlando soon.
