Being new to the area means getting to explore new local places and I am delighted to say how I’m happy to stumble upon Vick’s Texas BBQ!
First and foremost, GET THE POTATO SALAD! Absolutely great but I made the mistake of getting the individual size when I should’ve got the pint size.
My fiancé and I ordered the full rack of pork ribs, sliced and chopped brisket sandwich, mac & cheese and potato salad.
It’s safe to say they have new loyal customers!
The pork ribs were so full in flavor that you didn’t need to smother any bbq sauce on it or even think to dip them into any sauces which says a lot.
Both sandwiches were packed with brisket and he also adds pickles/onions in a separate bag if you would like to add in yourself.
Will be coming back to try the remaining menu items!

Vick’s Texas Barbecue is the kind of place you stumble on and immediately question why the entire city isn’t lined up for it. Seriously, how is this spot not world-famous yet?
The chicken? Disrespectfully good!!Juicy, magical, perfectly seasoned—one of those bites that makes you stop mid-chew and reconsider every other piece of chicken you’ve ever had. The brisket had that perfect balance of lean and fatty, with a bark that actually means something (not just a decorative crust like some places pull). And the pulled pork? Borderline criminal how good it was. Tender, packed with flavor, and just ridiculously satisfying.
The owner? Friendly, welcoming, and clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. This place deserves way more attention! You just earned yourself a loyal customer!

We loved it! Huge portions and very good and tasty. I had the potato with chopped brisket and it was enough for two people. My wife loved the brisket tacos. We stumbled upon their food truck at a Cigar’s International event. Excellent banana pudding too! Keep up the good work Vicks BBQ!

Very very good BBQ is an understatement! It was a fantastic BBQ joint with a great atmosphere! If we can make this place a franchise or get the owner to open his own restaurant I can already tell it could be better than Terry Blacks! Please go out to get some of Vicks BBQ you won’t regret it and the prices are definitely great for what you get!

Finally stopped in to see what all the fuss was about at Vick’s BBQ. I love food truck BBQ … it’s basically a smoker on wheels on a couple of people who love what they do. We weren’t disappointed … the brisket cuts were moist and full of flavor. The sausage was extremely tender and tasty as well. It was a great evening, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My only regret is not getting there sooner before the ribs were sold out. We’ll be back … we have to try the turkey and banana pudding!

So that just happened. We read reviews, followed the directions to Vick’s, ordered 1lb of moist brisket and a brisket baked potato. Don’t know how say this with sounding like a fraud, but this is the best brisket baked potato I have ever had. My wife ordered it and I’m helping her devour it.
Wife also stated – oh yum, that is good sweet tea.

Just the best! Two versions of brisket – dry one is tender and falls apart in your mouth while the wet one is super juicy and flavorful. Ribs are seasoned so generously that you’ll be licking the dry bone even an hour later. Pulled pork and sausage follows in the same direction. The unexpected surprise of the meal were the beans – so much flavor packed in such a little box! I will be coming back for those (and the rest) again!

Tried Vick’s for the first time today. Was nothing short of amazing. I ordered the brisket and turkey. The brisket was perfectly smoked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The turkey was moist and perfectly seasoned. The sides are equally as impressive. Highly recommend the Mac n cheese. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Im already planning my next trip to Vicks bbq.

This place is fire!! My buddy and I are in town for work and we’re looking for a great bbq place to have lunch. Vic’s did not disappoint one bit. Brisket, on point. Sausages, on point. Ribs, on point and amazing seasoning. Mac and cheese was really good, could have been a little cheesier but hey I ate it all so no complaints from me. Cole slaw was really good. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Houston.

Stopped by Vick’s BBQ last night for dinner and boy was it delicious. Had the brisket, sausage, and some mac ‘n cheese and everything was a 10/10. The brisket was so flavorful, I wish I had ordered more. Can’t wait to go back and try the other items on the menu too. Also, super friendly and nice customer service. Overall, it was a great experience and I can’t wait to eat there again! Great find!
