I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience with Vesuvius lately has been so poor that I feel compelled to say something. Perhaps it’ll serve as a warning to others to spend their hard-earned money elsewhere, at an establishment that cares more about the customer experience.
I ordered a chicken finger sub and paid $14 for it, only to get home and find that there was only 1.5–maybe 2 (if I’m being generous)—chicken fingers in the entire sandwich. I understand that everything is expensive these days, and I’m sure Vesuvius is likewise dealing with higher prices from vendors, but if you’re going to pass this on to the customer, you can’t both raise your prices and also so drastically reduce portion sizes. If this was a one-time thing, I would give them a pass and let it slide. But this was the second time they skimped on the portions. I’d rather they charged me $20 and gave me sandwich that left me satisfied rather than paying $14 for a lettuce and mayonnaise sandwich with a dash of breaded chicken that leaves me wanting.

It’s a nice restaurant located conveniently on a main road intersection, with a free parking lot. Pleasant interior decor, comfortable seating, clean restrooms.
I was able to sit quietly and work on my laptop in the evening (there are no outlets but there is WiFi). I wanted to rate it 5 stars but the Aphrodite sandwich was disappointing, pretty tasteless, with no veggies, on dry bread. The service was good but could be better if they serve water in cups, for people who do not want to buy bottled. the prices were somewhat higher than comparable restaurants. Good experience overall.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Every single time we have placed an order—whether for pickup or delivery—there’s an issue. They ALWAYS get it wrong.
Most recently, I ordered through GrubHub since they don’t provide direct online ordering. To avoid any mistakes, I called the restaurant immediately to confirm my order details. They assured me everything was correct, but when the delivery arrived, it was utterly wrong.
This has become a hopelessly familiar scenario. Despite my efforts to rectify the situation, their customer service has been nothing short of abysmal. They completely refuse to issue a refund or even remake the order. It’s infuriating to see such a lack of accountability, especially coming from a place that charges premium prices.
Numerous negative experiences! It’s unacceptable to repeatedly encounter this level of service. Save your time and money elsewhere!

The staff talks too much and do not focus, they trash your receipts with out asking you first if you want the receipt. You start to place your order and before you can finish they giving you the price for the 1st item and I am like hello I have not cinoelted my order. Anyway the place could be cleaner and smell better. The sceasar salad its not a sceasar salad rather a garden salad with the cheese and croutons that where all broken and crumbs all mixed with the lettuce not very appetizing to eat it like that. The Peter bread was old . Not sure how this place is so busy. Guess when your starving you will eat anything.

Order was seriously lacking to say the least. The online ordering through DoorDash doesn’t give options to add anything and they don’t take special requests so they sent us a tiny, terrible excuse for a steak tip sub with nothing but shriveled up steak and bread.

I had a very disappointing experience with Vesuvius during my first order, and unfortunately, it left a lasting negative impression. I placed an order for a steak tip sub on wheat bread, but when I arrived for pickup, it was prepared on toast instead. I called to report the issue, and while they offered to remake it, the corrected order was even more disappointing.
The steak tip sub I received was overloaded with onions and peppers, had barely any meat, and was missing the mushrooms I had specifically requested. Additionally, we had ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which was completely bland — the chicken had no seasoning whatsoever and lacked any flavor. Even the pizza slice, which I confirmed was fresh before ordering, tasted stale.
Overall, this was a horrible experience. The quality of the food did not justify the cost at all, and I will not be ordering from Vesuvius again. Poor attention to detail and lackluster food made this a regrettable choice.

Ordered A fettuccine chicken Alfredo and I got one solid piece of pasta with some rubbery chicken the Alfredo sauce was chunks and under it was water….and the ziti I got was the same way 2 different dinners. Ohh not to mention the garlic bread was half hard

I got a chicken salad sub and an order of fries. As you can see in the picture, there was barely any chicken salad in the sub at all. It was packed with lettuce instead. The fries were squishy and damp. I called and they gave me a credit to my account which is great but the person that made this sub does this often. I will be back to use my credit but will never return. Service is poor besides offering a credit for the issue. Don’t waste your time or money.

If I could give them No star I would. I ordered two pizzas, a steak bomb with the sub roll toasted and an Italian Sub with just pickles and oil. The girl taking my order asked “so you don’t want letters tomatoes…I said no….all I want on it is all the meat that comes with it and pickles and oil…she asked again so you don’t want onions either? I repeated the same thing….all I want is all the meats that go with it and for vegetables I just want pickles plus olive oil. She came back and said they don’t have Sub rolls so would I want it on Italian, I said yes, that’s fine and thought…what Pizza and Sub place runs out of sub rolls? She then came back and said “sorry, we don’t have Italian bread either….all we have is wheat, rye or focaccia bread….I chose Focaccia. When I went home, which was 3 minutes from there, I opened my Italian sandwich and all it had was Focaccia bread, pickles and olive oil… Nothing else…Image attached. I then checked the receipt and she for some reason typed no on everything including the meat except for oil. Somehow they put the pickles in it…lol…worst part is, I paid $11.51 plus tax for it
Pizza was one of the worse we tried and the Steak Bomb was definitely not toasted Sub roll and it was soggy as hell and very greasy. Place did not look very clean either. I Highly DO NOT recommend this place.
