So glad they only did minor upgrades during the remodel and kept the same atmosphere and decor that makes the restaurant original. Service is still great along with the food and drinks. The food remains just as great if even better as it was growing up.

I was a frequent visitor to the Downey location for 20+ years. I have only visited the Santa Fe Springs location once, and was happy to see the smiling faces of the staff I came to know from Downey. The food is still great as well as the prices. Friendly staff who provide top notch service and mouth watering food!

The people were very friendly. The food was good. It was a little more spicy than my family was used to but it was good. Then again my kids don’t tolerate spice at all. They grew up in an area without Mexican food.

This place is always amazing and has the best staff. Anna, Don Poncho, Abel, Gustabo, Fidel, Bobbie and Ricky, are my favorites, when you’re in the area stop by and have the best mexican food around and a few top Shelfs Cadillacs and walk out like a zombie.

Prior night, I had dinner and had a great experience with service, food, and drinks.I left so happy. Because of that great experience, I returned for breakfast with my family. But for breakfast, it was a disaster , food,coffee, and service were bad. The waiter was rude, it looked like he did not want to service us or even want to work. I didn’t even finish my food. It got me sick. Throw up as soon as I return home. Worst coffee ☕️ ever. For sure, don’t recommend dining in for breakfast only, not dinner. Worst $78 I send on.

Same great food as always since 1983. Chips and xlnt salsa on the table with refills, 2 huevos rancheros plates(2 eggs, beans, rice , tortillas), 1 coffee with refills, 1 water. Great, friendly servers, always looking to make sure your coffee and chips bowl is full. Comfortable seating, clean and well maintained. Bathrooms need updating. Lots of parking. Easy access from 605 freeway. Wonderfully decorated for Dia de los Muertos & Halloween! Total sekmmems like a lot for a basic meal. $41+$5 tip=$46.

Beer and mix drinks options are limits as they are out, food comes out in large plates. Taste of food is average and also lacks proper temperature. Interior is very aged with low lighting. Staff is nice and attentive. Would not go out of my way to eat there again
