What a fun night. Our first time there and it won’t be my last. I enjoyed the lightly dusted deep fried veggies. The chicken wings were great as well. We really enjoyed the location the atmosphere and I want to go back to sit on the outside patio.
Ashley, thank you so much for making this a special night for us. We will come back to see you soon.
I WOULD RECOMMEND

Had the best taco salad here with grilled chicken ever! Weather was gorgeous on the patio, service attentive. During the Carefree Art Show. Couldn’t be beat.

The menu isn’t extravagant. The kitchen arbitrarily turned a sandwich order into a wrap but it was still tasty. The server was lovely and attentive. It was pretty dark inside – lit mostly from the large front windows and it was a rainy day when I dined.

The Venues Cafe is a very good restaurant. There food is excellent, especially the deviled eggs. I had the sliders and my wife had the street tacos. The service was terrible due to insufficient staffing. The staff that were there were very nice. I rated the service a 2 because they comped us a dessert. Best fresh fruit pie Ala mode I’ve ever had.

This was our first time at the Venus Cafe. When we went to carefree to pick up some flavored balsamic vinegars and olive oils, we didn’t realize that it was bike weekend! We probably saw more than 5,000 bikers! What a nice treat to look at so we went out of town just a little bit to have lunch and pick the Venus Cafe. They had a really nice menu to choose from lots of options, when we arrived we didn’t know that they were having fryer issues so anything that needed to be deep fried was not available on the menu and we’re thinking that’s why Linda’s taco salad did not come with a tortilla shell but she said it still was very delicious. My veggie panini had a lot of great flavor points to it. The sourdough bread had a nice tanginess and the crunch added some great texture to the sandwich. Reading back over the menu I noticed that my panini was supposed to have mushrooms and a pesto mayo. It was funny when I was eating the sandwich I thought you know this would really be good with mushrooms! The zucchini had a thick texture to it that held up against the grill, and had a nice smokiness to it and added a good depth to the flavor of this sandwich. The spinach was fresh, not cooked. I like how the tomatoes were sickly sliced so you could get a really nice taste of the tomato. The tomato was ripe and had a very nice heirloom flavor to it. The mayonnaise on the sandwich did pick up the smokiness from the grilled zucchini that rounded out the sandwich. Our waitress was very informative and very attentive. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this quaint cafe. Would I go back, absolutely!

We got takeout desserts, which were quick. The expert baker in our family said the Triple berry pie was superb with both an excellent crust and filling. The churros filled with apples were great. The chocolate decadence cake was also dark chocolate delight. Outstanding desserts!!

We then went back for lunch and everything was excellent. Great burgers turkey burgers and salads.

HORRIBLE experience! I’m gluten free. They have VERY limited options. They would not accommodate ANY of the requests we made! The chef didn’t want to do ANYTHING for us, because they would then have to do it for everyone… WTH?!? I’ve rarely been treated so poorly in a restaurant, especially for a severe allergy! It’s not a food preference. We will NEVER go back. AVOID if you can!

We had a very good lunch here today on the outdoor patio at Venues. Everything was a little slow, but I think all restaurants are suffering from lack of staff, so I don’t let it bother me. Our meals were very tasty and their prices are fair, including for a glass of good wine. Our server was friendly and efficient, and he apologized for the longer than normal time to be served. I’m probably the only person who cares about this, but I like that their music was very unobtrusive. (I hate loud music when I want a peaceful meal.) I can recommend this restaurant. We will be going back soon.

Very good food choices…. variety of small plates like tacos, sliders, also shrimp and calamari. It was lovely to sit outside in the Arizona sunshine to enjoy our meal. Great service too.

We were greeted immediately and warmly and seated within a few minutes. Venues is an inviting restaurant with a casual vibe and comfortable setting. Our server Jenae took out order promptly. We did have to wait an unusually long time for our chicken picatta, but it was worth the wait. Taco salad and onion rings were also quite good. Besides the wait for our food, I would venture out to Venues again. Maybe a burger next.
