Highly recommend! Service was excellent, our server was knowledgeable and made some good recommendations based on our preferences. The oysters were to die for, it was my first time trying raw oysters and I was happy with how fresh they were. We got both the east and west oysters. For the dessert we tried the financier and it was so good. The only dish I wasn’t too impressed with was the mussels. They are a bit on the pricier side but it’s worth it imo.

Waitress was Horrible! On a $200, bill we left a $5 tip. After going over our receipts, there was a difference of $15. The waitress slipped a one on the bill. Waitress name was Veronica.(so pay attention to when you go and tip so they don’t lie and over tip themselves.) other than that dinner was good. The food was great. Atmosphere was good service was very, very slow waitress never came to the table to ask if we needed anything else. Any refills how the food was or anything else, but she asked everybody around us if they needed anything. You’d think that a $200 bill and the money we’d spent she would take care of us also very disappointed in the restaurant. Needless to say never going back.

The service was excellent. Brock, our waiter, had recommended delicious drinks on the menu. He was very knowledgeable about the menu overall. We had the raw oysters (east&west), which were so fresh. It was my friend’s first time having raw oysters, and now she’s hooked. We also had the steak. It wasn’t medium rare, as asked, but it was so good. I would have said something, but we were in a hurry to see a show.

I went to Venteux for brunch! The very front is the cafe/coffee section with the tall, beautifully painted walls. The restaurant portion is further down the building.

Long wait to order to offer a cold brew coffee even though I was the only person in line. The inside cafe area is very pretty and there’s nice that there outdoor seating on Michigan that doesn’t feel too exposed with all the plants. All in all, the coffee is ok and the service was slow but it’s at least pretty. If you’re looking for better food, I would suggest Lea just around the corner.

Croque Madame was delicious. Vibes are great too. The duck and waffles were not the fluffy waffles I expected, but more of a dense slab of bread drenched in overly sweet syrup. But my main complaint is the $10 bottles of water they bring to the table, with no mention of the pricing for non alcoholic beverages in the menu. Ended up spending $27 for two glasses of water and a coffee. A bit shady in my opinion.

Pretty cafe, lot of options to select from for a quick bite. Price is really high compared to the neighbouring coffee places and nothing out of the ordinary they serve. We tried the monthly special White chocolate mocha and got some good deal on it due to St. Patrick’s celebration in Chicago. It was good and had perfect sweetness. If you are okay to spend $6-7 on a cup of coffee this is the place for you.

What a lovely place for a dinner date! Myself and a friend treated ourselves before a Musical at the Nederlander. Super close and delicious cuisine. Loved the baked brie appetizer. My friend had the burger (excellent!) And I had the paparadelle short rib pasta: Chef’s kiss! I inhaled it. We finished off with 2 truly decadent desserts: The lemon poppyseed souffle, which was so light and fluffy, and the Chocolate & Rye. The latter of which was a whole experience! They removed a glass lid from which smoke poured from beneath the rim. They then proceeded to smother it with a melted chocolate sauce. DIVINE. I also had a glass of the house sparkling wine which I greatly enjoyed! I’d love to return to try the cocktails and the ratatouille.
