Oh my! Wonderful little place….The fresh calamari was to die for, the homemade marinara sauce is excellent. The complimentary garlic knots and dipping sauce were wonderful! I got the Chicken Piccata, which was moist, but had not been dredged in flour…..the white wine sauce with capers was excellent. My husband got the spaghetti with meat sauce and he said it was delicious. The one thing I was disappointed in was the side salad, which was just iceberg lettuce with a few pieces of tomato and a tiny bit of onion…..would have been so much better if there had been fresh greens mixed in with it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They no longer make their own fresh pasta, but that will not deter us going back for more authentic Italian food!! They do have luncheon specials and a luncheon menu, which is really reasonable….$7.99. If the salad had been better, I would give it 5 stars.

This is by far the most authentic food of any place in KC . Very simple seasonings so perfectly paired it’s a party for your taste buds! I took my fiancé here for her Birthday and had the best service and food I have ever had bar none. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great food.

Tired of the same old thing? Sick of loud restaurants where you can’t hear the person next to you? Give this place a try. We thought the food was outstanding. The service was very attentive. Very well worth the drive to a quaint place with excellent food. The tiramassu was the best I’ve tasted.

My friend & I ate here a couple of nights ago. We’re still talking about how great it was! He had the shrimp scampi; I had the house specialty, chicken & bacon in a sauce, served over spaghetti. We were both raving about the food, starting with the rolls & olive oil. In most restaurants, it’s just olive oil and cracked black pepper. However, here there were some fruits in the olive oil, including tomato that added a special flavor. The rolls must have been homemade. Then the orders arrived, and we found what others are raving about. This little, unpretentious restaurant in Smithville has some of the best food in the KC area. It’s definitely worth a drive up from KC or from anyplace else.

Best authentic Italian Food. All Pasta and deserts home made from scratch. The chef is from Palermo, Sicily – you can tell. Very friendly and professional staff. Every week our perfect start into the well deserved weekend. You’ll feel spoiled from beginning to end. Can’t agree with another guest more: I would also give 10 stars if I could. A MUST TRY!!

The food is excellent! Its 100% authentic. I had the pasta sampler and New York plain cheesecake. The lasagna is to die for! The cheese cake was good but the canoli was out of this world!
