Velvet Taco at Sugar Land is pretty new. The interior is simple and colors pop. They have an outdoor seating area too.
I had the Hawaiian Poke from their Weekly Taco Feature, and their Fish n’ Chips. Both tacos had fresh ingredients and the servings were generous. The tacos were delicious. Staff were very friendly – service was excellent.
Plenty of parking and they have drive-thru as well.
Glad that Velvet Taco decides to open at Sugar Land. Definitely a good addition to the city!

This is my third visit here and I love it! The food is always good and me and my wife always crave it. It’s fast, simple and nice variety. My fave taco is the paneer…so, so good! My wife tried for the first time the chicken bowl and it too was banging! Definitely worth a visit! My only critique is the corn tortilla needs to be lightly greased and then grilled both sides to give it the nice, soft texture it deserves.

Family of 6 we all ordered different things. Food was decent imho. I got the grilled steak, this was a solid 4. The kids liked the fish taco but it wasn’t for me when I tried it. It had curry it in which was a no go for me. Also tried the one of my kids Birria taco, those are a little smaller than the normal tacos. This was a solid 4 also. Staff was chill and efficient, the place was clean. We will be back!

Shared 5 tacos between the 2 of us. This is my ranking- (bf would’ve put spicy tikka higher up). They were all pretty good, but I’d get the top 3 again (delicious!) and pass on the last 2.

Absolutely amazing experience at Red Velvet Taco in Sugar Land!
From the moment we walked in, Edwin and Ashley made us feel completely taken care of — super friendly, upbeat, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. We tried the Red Curry Queso, Mexicali Shrimp Taco, and of course the Red Velvet Cake, and everything was incredible! The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced.
Our kids loved their Steak Taco from the kids’ menu — the tater tots inside were a fun surprise and total hit. You can tell the team really puts effort into making both the food and the atmosphere stand out.
Huge thanks to Edwin and Ashley for making our visit so great — we’ll definitely be back soon!

Tacos sounded great on paper but the experience fell short of expectations. Mushy and clumpy rice was a big no-no. Flavors weren’t great and didn’t work well together, especially compared to other taco places.
Atmosphere was okay but the dance remix music was too loud and distracting.

This was my first time at Velvet Taco! The spicy chicken tikka taco was the clear winner for me. Perfectly seasoned and delicious. My husband also really liked the red curry queso. Service was also fantastic. Maya was super helpful. Will definitely come back!

We ordered the grilled steak, grilled salmon, and chicken and waffles tacos as well as elote with chips here as our first time at this location.
We really enjoyed these tacos!! Khyera took our order and it was a smooth and friendly process. The elote was excellent and filling.
Overall a great place and we are glad that Velvet Taco is here in Sugar Land! Will visit again.

So excited that the new Velvet Taco opened on Highway 6 in Missouri City! The food was amazing and super flavorful and fresh. The place has a great vibe, and the service made it even better. Ashley helped me out, and she was so friendly, patient, and welcoming. She made my first visit a great one! Definitely coming back soon!
