The quality of food is very poor compared to the price we paid. Definitely not the meat quality I expect for this international chain. I have had much better meat at other international locations in Japan, Hong Kong and United States. This location really pulled down the reputation of this chain.
Aside for the attentive service and care of our waiter this would have been a 1-star review.

Amazing Japanese table-grill experience! You cook your own meat and corn right on the grill at the table, which makes it fun and interactive. The vibe is great, cozy and lively at the same time, and everything we tried was very delicious.
Definitely try the noodles with beef, the beef rice, and the New York steak — all were full of flavor and perfectly satisfying. The mayo shrimp was one of the best items, ready to eat and absolutely amazing. For dessert, the marshmallow is a must and such a fun way to finish the meal.
Highly recommend trying this place!

Went for their ‘Dine Out Vancouver’ menu. Got the 130$ meal for 2. All the food we had was delicious, the wagyu, karaage, bibimbop. Our server / cashier Dennis was also very nice and helpful. The sweet soy sauce was exactly like what I have had in Japan, and the Mango Tango was refreshing as well. Lots of food for the price, we definitely could have fed a third person for the amount of food we got. They even rotated / replaced our grill surface 3 times while we were at our table to avoid char buildup.
My only complaint / recommendation was that it was pretty warm from all the grills and there was literally 7 or 8 songs on repeat for the 2 hours we sat down. Didnt bother me too much, but I could see it annoying some. Would recommend for a nice night out!

Even though we made a reservation three days in advance for a Monday evening, we were seated at a table in the back that was not in good condition. One of the seats was broken, which raised safety concerns, and the passage to the back seating area was narrow and uncomfortable to navigate.
Upon arrival, we were informed that the restaurant does not allow separate billing for groups larger than six. This policy was not communicated clearly at the time of booking and felt unreasonable, particularly on a quiet Monday night when many tables were available. As a result, our group had to manage bill splitting ourselves, which caused unnecessary inconvenience.
Unfortunately, the manager appeared unhelpful and somewhat unwelcoming when we raised these concerns. The servers, however, were professional and did their job well.
The food itself was enjoyable, though the portion sizes for dinner mains felt on the smaller side. I have previously visited for lunch and had a better experience, especially with the salads and sides.
Service in hospitality should be flexible and responsive to guests, especially during slower weekdays. Without improvements in this area, the restaurants risk losing loyal customers rather than attracting them.

This is a fantastic spot for nice Japanese BBQ in Vancouver. It is lively and welcoming.
The quality of the meats really shines and everything is flavorful, tender, and cooks beautifully right at the table.
The menu offers great variety, with good happy hour offerings!
Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, making sure the grills were changed promptly and orders arrived on time.

I really love this place, I have been here few times and always have a good experience, it worth the price; they give u a lot of meat and sides. The tap beer is good. The staff is friendly.

This was a nice experience. My first Japanese BBQ experiance. We made a reservation online to guarentee a seat. Service was fairly quick and we were give 2 hours to enjoy a meal. Its located in a little strip mall-like area. Service was nice, she explained the menu and came right away when we were ready to order. She also started the grill and oiled it for us when the food came. She also explained where to place the meat on the grill, depending on their cook time. The grill was clean and the table very large for larger groups. They do have combos that give a nice selection meats to try. They suggest 2 to 3 meat choices per person and 1 bowl of rice for 2 people. We got the chicken karaage for an appetizer which was very nicely seasoned and juicy! I didnt get a photo because we dug right in… sorry For our mains we choose à la carte plates, 4 meat and 1 bowl of rice to share. Garlic shrimp, teriyaki chicken, spicy pork and umakara ribeye. The meat is well seasoned – Warning: the pork was SUPER spicy! We also order the smores, which was served in a portion of two. They also came and changed the grill for us to cook our dessert on which was a pleasant surprise. Overall it was a nice first experiance 🙂

Everything was really good. Service was great. Place was clean. The only thing I didn’t like was hot tea served in a plastic cup, the same kind for soda. I have never seen that. Other that, zero complaints. I would definitely recommend and return.

You guys might remember me, the group of three from Victoria. Just wanted to say thanks for the amazing, fresh food. The taste was incredible, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
