I stopped by because I heard about and wanted to try the Eggplant Parmesan (Weekly Taco Feature) tacos. Man, those tacos were delicious! I got a combo meal, which came with a side, so I also ordered chips and queso. The queso was a little on the spicy side, and it came with blue tortilla chips that were the bomb! Perfectly fresh, crispy, and tasty. But, even though I loved the food, I do have some complaints about the tacos, and the restaurant itself. I received my tacos lukewarm, and some of the ingredients were served icebox cold. I’m the type of person who wants her hot food to be hot, and her cold food to be cold. It was unpleasant for me, and I so wish I could have had hot food. I can’t even imagine how delicious they would have been at the correct temperature. Makes me sad that I missed out on that.
I arrived around 1:15, so it was after the lunch rush. Every single table inside was dirty and needed to be wiped down. I picked a table and wiped it down with a paper towel, myself. Shouldn’t have to do that, though! Also, the bench seat I was on had food crumbs spilled all over it. There’s an area dedicated to throwing your own trash away, plus there’s a place there to stack your own trays and taco holders. It was covered with spilled food and was absolutely disgusting. I just felt ick eating in the restaurant today, and encourage them to do better in the cleanliness department. I never saw anyone clean anything in the dining room the entire time I was there. Please, please do better Velvet Taco.
As other guests have mentioned, they’re a bit pricey. I’m willing to come back, but it will probably only be for another enticing Weekly Taco Feature taco. Next time, I may just go through the drive-thru so that I have the option to heat my food up when I get home.

Great variety of good food! Everything is SO full of flavors. This was my second time there and we enjoyed all 4 of the tacos we had. The queso is definitely spicy, a little too spicy for me but the chips were fresh and crisp.
Took longer than expected to receive the food though.

Stopped in here for lunch with two of my coworkers while in Tulsa for business. I had the rotisserie chicken taco, the steak/portobello taco, and chips with Queso. I did not like the chicken taco, the seasoning was not pleasant for me. I loved the steak taco, it had amazing flavor. True chips and Queso were average and just fine.
One of my coworkers orders a shrimp bowl which he loved. Another coworker ordered the chicken and waffle taco which he also enjoyed.
For the table we ordered crispy tots and Sunny egg. The egg was way over cooked. Aside from that the appetizer was good.
The service here was wonderful and the atmosphere was great.
My caution is to be mindful when you go. There is not a lot of seating here so if it’s busy, you are out of luck.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did so this week. The food is a solid 5 stars for me.
I downloaded the app for rewards and got a free chips & queso. It was really good. I also got the combo with a quesa barilla taco and the WTF chicken bacon jam taco, salsa as the side, and tea. The total was around $17 after tax. The salsa was pretty good, served warm. Both tacos were phenomenal. I hope to catch the special chicken bacon jam taco again because it was my favorite part of my meal. The kids ate their steak tacos but said they were too salty.
As for the service, there was a hiccup. The rest of my party received their food and mine never came up ready. They were busy so I was patient. Eventually I went to the counter (luckily I had asked for my receipt after paying) and asked for the status of my order. I’m not sure of the reason but it had been cancelled. They did get it out to me quickly after that, and brought me a free piece of red velvet cake. I’m not a big cake fan so I had a bite and the frosting tasted good but the cake felt slightly stiffer than I’d prefer. I shared with the table. They thought it was good.
It’s a small place with not a ton of seating for how busy they were. There was some outdoor seating that wasn’t being utilized since it was a cold day. Pretty crowded in general, hard to walk around. The food is great! The cost should NOT be $6.50 per taco especially for chicken and rice in a tortilla.
The service takes a joke or two to crack a smile and out of the attendant at the counter and it is counter service. That is another reason to advocate against the cost.
The atmosphere feels a bit crowded, with uncomfortable seating, unclean bathrooms, and some sticky tables. It is a “new age” styled restaurant with some cool colors.
Won’t be going back unless I crave the spicy chicken tikka tacos randomly. Even then I’ll consider the online recipes for them. Tried a majority of their menu and these stand out.
