This was my first time at Velvet Taco. I ordered 14.5 and 17, and I don’t remember the other taco’s number. The tacos were good, not excellent, but the reason why I’m giving this three stars is that the food was cold, telling me this was not fresh or prepared once it was ordered. The place is somewhat inviting. The highlight of this visit was the chipotle salsa, and the other one seemed to be Cholula poured into a plastic container, so people didn’t know what it was.

NOT what I expected from them! I was expecting taco bell like food/service. Instead, we got amazing presentation, excellent tasting food, and wonderful atmosphere to relax and enjoy our food. Alex (hope I got that right) was amazing at taking care of our orders too. Wicked friendly and very personable. He has beard envy though, but it’s all good. He has amazing hair and I have none. Very mediocre tacos spot (more like mexican fusion). Didnt like that they packed many of the tacos with white rice. The flavors were bland and didnt live up to the menu descriptions.

We ordered Mediterranean mushroom, nashville hot tofu and fried paneer. I really liked the nashville tofu. The ambience is good. Service is fast. There is lot of seating space. They have outside seating available too.
