Out with friends for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon the velvet taco! Definitely was a vibe, and customer service was on point! Appreciated the young man at the counter who was patient with us ordering. Parking lot wasn’t as big, but not a spoiler for me not to return. Loved my food!

As a driver, I do a lot of pickups from places all over the city. Velvet Taco may become one of my New found Love of places to visit for food and good vibes. It’s close enough to downtown Charlotte to be a part of the inner city action, but far enough away to not be caught up in too much congestion.
It’s semi tucked away on Tremont Street
The staff here by pleasant, angry you with a smile. It’s clean inside which is a plus for anywhere you get food from. I feel like I have to mention this because not all places care for the environment. It’s just true.
As far as the food. There’s a pretty good selection of things to choose from, and the portions seem to be plentiful for the value
Does parking on both sides other venue as well as the front. There’s indoor, patio, and outside seating. So choose up!
All in all, a great place to stop and get some food and chill for a bit

A 5 star review is well deserved for this place. I am not a one-time customer, rather a repeat customer who trusts this establishment enough to come here at least once a week. I would like to highlight the consistency of their food, as it always tastes as great as the previous time I would get it. More importantly, the staff is extremely courteous and handles your requests in an efficient manner. Ambience is always great no matter the time you go. Truly one of the top tier places I will continue to come to.

This is similar to Agave & Rye, but Velvet Taco is more of a fast food format instead of a restaurant/bar style as Agave & Rye. Agave & Rye has a full bar while Velvet Taco has a limited alcohol menu. I had the WTF, peach & burrata, Mexi-Cali shrimp, grilled salmon, and fish n’ chips. All of them were well seasoned and delicious. They were loaded with ingredients and tasted pretty fresh. This area is hard to find parking, but this location has a small parking lot beside it. But it’s probably paid parking.

Durrell is the best!! He is always kind and made sure that everything in the order was perfect! My Taco Combo (WTF Japanese Katsu Curry Taco + Chicken & Waffle Taco) and my husband’s Angus Brisket Bowl were absolutely delicious! This Weekly Taco (Japanese Katsu Curry) is now in my top 3 favorite tacos ever at Velvet Taco and we’re already planning to make another drive from Huntersville to get more of these before the weekly taco changes! 10/10

I am going out of my way to give credit where credit is due. I died in here via a mobile order on Thursday, February 26th at about 12 o’clock. the staff had about 15 large corporate, catering boxes and multiple DoorDash delivery drivers who were waiting. Not to mention all the people who placed mobile orders.
It seemed really stressful in there, but they were able to give the orders within 30 minutes of placing it while clearing out many corporate catering boxes. It was a huge push and they definitely did it. The blonde manager was running all over the place getting everything done. She deserves a raise for her efforts alone.
Onto the food, the food was fantastic. I got the rotisserie chicken bowl with extra chicken. They absolutely gave me extra chicken and the food was extremely filling. Given the amount of orders had to complete… My food was not skimmed on at all.
Great work to the staff today! If anybody complained about the service today, they were completely unaware of what was going on or just straight up entitled.

If you like trying fantastic new combinations of delicious foods you won’t find a better taco shop. The Nashville Hot Tofu, Chicken & Waffle, Korean Fried Rice tacos – all fantastic. Changing weekly features have some incredible options as well. Such a great spot.

Just stopped in to finish a trip and getting a quick bite, Lee and Sarah took very good care of us! This was our first time in and the mood was amazing. They took care of all our needs and told us where we could find other locations. Over all I’m recommending to everyone that will be in the area and wants a new favorite taco spot.

This place is trendy with unique tacos. I got 3 tacos one of them was the taco of the month. They were delicious. The place had nice outdoor seating. I definitely recommend it.
