Simply delightful!! An urban oasis for a big city flair coffee spot! Discovered this intimate, artsy place while downtown for work. Welcoming vibe near Quality Hill is a must to go for the coffee lover! Rich and robust and well balanced coffee was enjoyed here! Highly recommend to hang for work or chat with a friend. You will be amazed!

Checked out this new coffee shop and wow—it’s popular for a reason. The place was packed, and I did have to wait longer than expected, which was a bit frustrating, especially during a busy time of day. That said, the staff stayed friendly and efficient despite the rush, and the coffee was absolutely worth it—smooth, well-made, and clearly high quality. Once I finally got my drink, it lived up to the hype. Definitely a spot I’d return to, just with a little extra time (and patience) built in. ☕
Side note- they did not have half & half as creamer which seemed a bit odd. I’m hoping the add that. The young guy making the drinks was very nice.

So thrilled to have a great coffee shop in this section of downtown! Ever since vested left the neighborhood has been desperately missing great coffee and Veil fills that void perfectly. The space is small, but because of the different levels there is more space to sit and work than you might think. My baseline for any coffee shop is their drip and cappuccinos and both were outstanding.

Veil is a great addition to the Union Hill area. Tucked back in an alley, the space is warm and inviting. Also when the weather is better the outside seating around the corner will be nice.
The coffee is delicious. Rich and dark, but the flavors are why you need to come here. They are a little different than other places and not too sweet. I got the Ube, which from the picture you can’t see in my cold brew. BUT I promise my coffee is purple.
My friend really liked her blushed matcha. The blushed means that it came with a little strawberry.
10/10. Will be back!!

ive been to dozens of coffee shops across kansas city, and this place is easily in my top 3. both times i’ve visited the staff has been very friendly and helpful, and my drinks have been amazing. the atmosphere is beautiful, and unique as well.
