During my visit, I experience good customer service; employees are kind and helpful with navigating the menu.
Employees may refer to Rib Tips as Spare Ribs. The flavor, in my opinion, between the Vegan and Non-Vegan Rib Tips, are the same. There is no bone or cartilage in the Vegan Rib Tips though the harder texture (of bone/cartilage) is possible to attain if one eats the meal at a latter time (without reheating though without refrigerating). The Vegan Rib Tips are so delicious; more sweet than savory, chewy though not gum, and offering a wonderfully satisfying flavor. The Calamari is so good; more savory than sweet, tastes like Non-Vegan Calamari more so in the aftertaste though like Calamari (87%) and Shrimp (13%) in the beginning ànd middle taste, the crisp is light, not heavy on my stomach, what a wonderfully satisfying combination. The Mixed Vegetable Soup is like Hot Vegetable-Infused Water, very soothing to sip within bites of the Calamari and Rib Tips. The Mixed Vegetable Soup is like a tea of the meal, good at any time warm. I find the meal so good, I intentionally save about half to eat with a dinner portion of home cooking. Good Vibes. The establishment accepts different forms of payments. The establishment has a variety of seating options.
I highly recommend starting with the super scallion pancakes. They’re crispy, savory, and totally addictive. We also ordered the Ting Ting Two Flavor, which was incredibly flavorful with the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. The textures and seasoning were spot on. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and really well executed.
The staff was so kind and welcoming. You can tell they care about the food and the experience. Service was quick, and they were happy to answer questions and make recommendations. The vibe in the restaurant was cozy and casual, perfect for a relaxed meal that still feels special.
Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is worth checking out. I’m already planning my next visit because I left full, happy, and totally impressed. Veggie Heaven lives up to its name!
However, the staff may benefit from a bit more training. We had some communication issues during our visit, particularly around menu explanations, and there was a mix-up with our order—three orders of Tso Chicken were placed, but four were billed. Thankfully, the bill was corrected without issue.
At times, the service felt a bit rushed, as if we were being encouraged to order quickly, possibly to accommodate other reservations. While I understand the need for quick table turnover, it would be nice to slow things down a little to better enjoy the atmosphere.
Overall, the food was good, and the experience was pleasant. A few small improvements could make it even better.
Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry .
Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.
I’ve been here a number of times and a must try are the chicken nuggets with their signature sweet sauce. They nail he texture and taste.
Restaurant is massive, so there’s almost always walk-in seating available. Occasionally, there’s a wait.
Looking forward to exploring more of the menu in the future… thanks for the food!
I started with a comforting **wonton soup** filled with delicate dumplings, shiitake mushrooms, and fresh greens. Alongside it, I had a **crispy spring roll** served with sweet chili sauce, which was light and delicious.
For my drink, I went with **bubble tea** perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing with chewy tapioca pearls at the bottom. It was a fun addition to the meal!
Next, The steamed dumplings were soft and had a nice texture, but I found them to be a bit bland as they lacked salt or seasoning also, we requested all food to be spicy but it was not spicy.
I enjoyed the vegetable lo mein; the noodles were cooked well, and the vegetables were crisp and fresh.
Overall, the food was fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The ambiance was cozy
The place is *almost* entirely vegan. Some dishes have honey, but otherwise good to go. I can’t recommend them strongly enough. I have tried most of the food on the menu and I have really enjoyed almost everything. They are very endearing and knowledgeable about the food they serve. You need to visit the Montclair Veggie Heaven if you’re in town.
