What a charming little spot! Vegan Mundo is a cozy, welcoming restaurant that proves vegan food can be both delicious and diverse. The menu offers something for everyone, and we were spoiled for choice.
We started with the Bolo de Caco and creamy hummus—perfectly spiced and so satisfying. For the main course, the Sea Rainbow Bowl was a colorful explosion of flavors, and the Veganborana was hearty and full of taste. Don’t skip the Purplepower drink—it was refreshing and unique!
The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely return—highly recommended!

We loved this place so much we came back twice. This is one of the best places in Funchal. If you are vegan you will get a good meal here. The two ladies are so nice and work so hard.
The menu is amazing and we were spoilt for choice. Everything is freshly cooked to order. All of the juices are fresh. Everything tastes so healthy. Sitting outdoors was lovely.

Cute little vegan restaurant with indoor and outdoor areas. What stood out was the very nice and friendly staff. The meals were with quality ingredients and well made. My Veganbonara pasta could have had a bit more taste, it lacked depth. A wedge of lemon helped. Maybe some fresh herbs, sun dried tomatoes or vinegar in the sauce would have helped. Prices in Funchal are expensive and here is no exception. Overall a lovely spot.

The menu is not extensive but has a good variety to cater for most including a Beyond Meat burger, which may tempt non-vegans. There is a note about allergies at the back.

Some of our top picks: the irresistible Umami burger paired with golden, crispy fries, the rich and nourishing soups, the vibrant salad bowls, and the comforting risottos. The pistachio ice cream offered the perfect balance of creaminess and nutty depth—but nothing, nothing compares to their chocolate cake. My girlfriend was completely smitten, declaring it the best chocolate cake she’s ever had. Honestly, I lost count of how many slices she devoured… and I don’t blame her!
The drinks were just as impressive—fresh, healthy, and utterly refreshing. Every sip felt like a boost of wellness.

Nice, friendly service and a great ambience. The food was good and arrived quickly. However, at 1:30pm, a mere hour or so after opening, there was only one dessert available (a brownie), a few ice-cream flavours (no pistachio today) and no tempeh for main dishes. Unless they only offer one dessert a day, this is quite disappointing from a place called ‘vegan world’.
Unfortunately, I also found a ‘little friend’ in my food (see the purple slug in the photo, on the side of my bowl). The cost was removed from my bill and I was offered another dish, which I was charged for. Typically, the whole meal would be offered for free or voucher given when something horrendous happens. I still paid for everything, which is poor service despite the apology for the slug in my food.
Overall: disappointing.

Even my meat loving boyfriend enjoyed the food here. The staff is very friendly and the food is delivered at your table in record pace. It’s a lovely dining experience hosted by a young crew. Oh, my God.

I highly recommend Mundo Vegan, the food was really tasty, and different, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The desserts were fab I had the Banana bread which had a faux “marscapone” cream topping hoping to return during our holiday.
