I have been coming to this restaurant since I 1st moved to SF 2019 and it is now our favorite place to go in SF on a date night!

Vega is definitely one of the most authentic Italian places in all of SF! We went there on a Sunday but they are famous for their wine promotions on Wednesday! We ordered the capricciosa pizza (it had egg! – never had it before) the linguine, the spaghetti with clams and the gnocchi! I think they keep changing the menu so do ask the server for suggestions! Overall the food and the whole experience was worth it!

I love Vega! I go there a lot when I’m in Bernal Heights. The staff are always so friendly and they were super accommodating too! I got a custom shrimp pasta (asked for them to sub the meat out for shrimp since I’m pescatarian!) The shrimp was cooked so so well too! The restaurant has a cozy feel and indoor and outdoor seats. Sometimes, it can get a bit dark indoors since it’s only candlelit but it does give it a bit of a romantic feel.

Really awesome Italian restaurant and was even able to be seated without any wait outdoors. The partially enclosed seating area combined with patio heaters were great to help stave off the SF cold air and light rain.

Roman fare. Warm cozy atmosphere. You can feel the owner’s personal care in every bite. This place is a labor of love and the closest I’ve been to Italy in a long time. My current favorite Italian restaurant tucked into the Cortland valley of Bernal Heights. It’s good.

The grilled calamari was delicious as was the sea bass, linguini with clams and the butternut squash ravioli. The service was gracious.

Very excited to have tried Vega on Courtland Ave. Greeted with “buona sera” and their house wine definitely reminded me of Italy. Each dish was a crowd pleaser, and we had to try their tiramisu as the table next door was drooling over theirs. We will definitely make it back!

Great experience dining outside last week. The staff were very nice and responsive and the food was delicious! We scored on half off wine as well. We will be back, especially during these times where it is important to support local businesses!

We went on a Sunday night and it wasn’t too busy. This is a nice place for Italian food in Bernal heights. The atmosphere is nice and romantic lit with candle lights and hip background music. There are indoor and outdoor seatings. We got seated right away. I recommend getting the calamari, sausage gnocchi, and tiramisu! Very delicious!

We were craving for some risotto and found this place. The vibe is great, but a little too dark for us. We ordered Pizza Capricciosa and one of their specials, Salmon Risotto.
