Veg Out in Hermiston has quickly become one of our go-to spots when we want something healthy, quick, and easy. If you’re someone who actually enjoys eating clean like we do, this place is such a solid choice. The food is fresh, flavorful, and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy afterward.
We usually order ahead and grab it to go — that’s just our vibe — and it’s always ready fast. The whole experience feels simple and efficient, which I appreciate on busy days.
Everyone who works there has been genuinely kind every time we’ve gone in. It’s bright, welcoming, and just has a good energy to it.
The only odd thing? Every time I leave my business cards there, they completely disappear. So either people are enthusiastically taking them (which I would love to believe), or they’re vanishing into thin air. I haven’t had any calls referencing Veg Out yet, so it’s a little mystery.
Either way, we’ll keep coming back for the food. If you’re in Hermiston and want something fresh and healthy without a long wait, Veg Out is absolutely worth trying.

In a world of bummy Sysco restaurants Veg out has great fresh food. Better then chipotle by miles and makes subway look like cattle feed. So impressed.

Food was great and came quickly. It’s definitely more of a take away than sit down restaurant but there is seating available.
The salad was fresh and arranged nicely – the half size was more than enough for me!
I got a half sized soup (broccoli cheddar) and it was VERY flavorful and included real bacon on top along with fresh cut green onions
Absolutely 10/10 on the food and pricing (my meal + a Bubbly water was only $21)
Ambience is a little lacking but again it seems to be more popular to take away than eat in. I will be back!

Everything is good, I just wish they wouldn’t be so stingy with the meats. I believe if I’m paying what I’m paying for lettuce hook it up with a decent amount of protein. Other then that it’s a healthy choice for lunch.

From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere and staff were so inviting. But the real star of the show was the food. The Satay Peanut Chicken Fresh Bowl with Wild Rice was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and presented with an artistic flair that was almost too beautiful to eat. The freshness of the ingredients and the creativity of the menu left my taste buds dancing with joy. Honestly everything they serve is absolutely amazing.

The salad we had was pretty good, but for a $16 salad, it should have had more protein on it. So skimpy with the chicken, I couldn’t tell it was even there, and when I picked up a bit with my fork, it was flavorless. The bread balls were hard and cold, and the garlic one was almost not eatable with the huge amount of salt that was on it. And, they should be served warm, so the cheese is warm and gooey instead of coagulated and unappealing. NO one wants that much salt on anything! While we were there, a woman ordered her lunch. She wanted 2 of one kind of dough ball ( jalapeno, garlic, and plain) and one of the other. THE worker told her THE BALLS were already packaged and she couldn’t do that. hmmm They literally are served on an open topped paper bag. The cookies weren’t good, and the same goes for their dream bar. Just stupidly thin! Not great.

I had the tofu quinoa salad with Thai peanut dressing and it was fabulous!!I have never been to this town but I would come just to eat that again. My husband had the stake taco salad and he devoured it. It was so yummy and the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend it!!

Passing through the area, and was in dire need of some healthy, fresh food! (Protein bars and trail mix only get you so far)
Enter Veg Out popping up on Google maps! Seems like kind of a hidden gem in a smaller town, but sure glad I found it! It was worth the detour off the highway. Not crazily overpriced, and you actually get a good amount of food. I enjoyed a steak salad, and was pleasantly satisfied after chowing down! I did takeout, but there were a few tables inside as well as seats outside. (I think one of the employees was chilling at a table in the restaurant on their phone, which maybe wasn’t the best look, but the staff was friendly, and I didn’t mind it).
If I lived in the area, I would go here again!
