Tried Vavela Cafe in Charlotte and really liked it. We had the Dubai chocolate kunafa and some cakes, including the pistachio cake, everything tasted great.
The ambience is calm and aesthetic, and dining in felt really nice. Service was smooth and friendly.
They’re open late, which I love, and the coffee menu looked solid. I’ll definitely come back just for coffee. Also heard they host coffee + techno events, which sounds exciting.
Overall, a great spot for desserts, vibes, and late-night chill time.

Very clean and luxurious place with a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is rich and flavorful—you can really taste the quality of the beans. There were so many items on the menu I wanted to try, but you can only eat so much in one visit.
I had the Pastrami & Swiss, which was excellent, and my wife had the waffles—huge portion and absolutely delicious. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

This coffee shop is absolutely stunning with plenty of comfortable seating options, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The coffee is consistently delicious, and the desserts are just as amazing,they always have something new to try every time I visit. I’ve been here multiple times, and the service is always welcoming and attentive. One highlight for me is their kanafeh, it’s easily the best I’ve had in Charlotte (and I’ve tried it at several places!). If you’re looking for a beautiful atmosphere, great coffee, and incredible desserts, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Atmosphere: beautiful interior and decor, with lots of plush seating (finally a place that doesn’t put hard plastic chairs so you leave quicker). It gets busy for sure on a Saturday, but there was enough space for everyone and we found a seat with no issue. Pleasant calming background music
Food: the pistachio latte and panini are pretty good. The coffee itself has a great, robust flavor. Beautiful latte art. Wide selection of food / pastries / drinks. However, I would have liked to see something handmade – either housemade syrups, or fresh baked pastries, or something that makes it artisan. The danishes look to be from Costco

Such a cute little Mediterranean Cafe! Delicious treats which included pistachio fudge cake and gluten free options like almond flour macarons (mango passionfruit! Dubai chocolate!). Very sweet servers and authentic, fancy atmosphere. Could be fun for a first casual date.

This is a cute Turkish coffee shop in University District. The atmosphere is warm and elegant. There are people sitting at almost every single table even in the evening, so you may have to wait around to get a seat or share the table with other people. I like that they have different items on the menu including salad, drinks, and desserts, so you have a lot of options. I think the drinks and food are a bit too sweet to my taste. But overall it’s a nice place to hang out in the Charlotte area.

Tasty coffee and food w/ good vibes! I recommend to coffee lovers. I usually get a black coffee, so it’s nice to get something different with the Turkish coffee. Very earthly and flavorful. My friend also said the syrup in her caramel latte was yummy.

1) It’s upstairs (but there is an elevator and stairs.
2) I wish the views out the windows were tropical or nature.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
You can order in advance so you don’t have to wait in line. If you order in, they will bring you your order.
I had the Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake. It qualifies as plate-licking-good!
I chose Pistachio Lavender Latte. Not only did it smell amazing, but the taste was fantastic. Enjoy it alone first (the cheesecake drowns out the flavors).
The atmosphere is wonderful here. People are having meetings and doing their research papers. Yet, it’s enjoyably quiet. The music is mild and pleasing, with an ambiance that is relaxing and promotes productivity and calm.

This place is fantastic, I brought my friend here for coffee and bakery treats.
I had the blackberry and peach cake, the cheese biscuit plate and iced vanilla latte, my friend had the crème brûlée cheesecake and tea. Everything was delicious.
The customer service is great, even though it was busy the staff was attentive and helpful.
